Mark Wilkerson was born in 1976 in Enterprise, Alabama. He was the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band Course of Nature.
A Grammy-nominated artist, he co-wrote It's Not Over for Daughtry's eponymous album in 2007.
Melissa told Hello that Mark made the emotional decision to be a stay-at-home dad when their second son was born in 2008.

She said, "I'm lucky I have a husband who doesn't mind doing the cooking or doing the drop-offs at school or going to the football games and he is so involved."
When did they get married?
The longstanding couple met at the Kentucky Derby in 2002.
The two tied the knot on July 19, 2003, 14 months after they met. The wedding was held in Italy.
The pair settled in Los Angeles and welcomed two sons before moving to the East Coast and welcoming a third son.
The Sabrina the Teenage Witch star has said that the key to their long union has been growing and changing together.
"I've learned that the person you marry is not the same person you will be married to," she says.
"Over the years I've changed, he's changed, the marriage has changed. It's a matter of changing together, remembering that first spark, remembering why you're together."

Three years after their wedding, Melissa gave birth to their first son, Mason. He was born in January 2006.
In March 2008, the couple had a second son, Braydon. Melissa's husband Mark then chose to stay at home "because he was upset about missing bath time."
Their youngest son, Tucker, was born in September 2012.
