KRISHNAN Guru-Murthy has revealed he plans to form a band.
The 53-year-old news presenter — who wowed on Strictly before getting the boot — said he was inspired by his son Jay, 16, playing at Glastonbury with his group Askew.
The Channel 4 journalist told The Times: “I got him into guitars and now I’m thinking of getting a band back together.”
In 2021, he revealed how an old pal returned his first electric guitar after borrowing it more than 30 years ago.
He previously told how he met his wife Lisa Guru-Murthy met through their mutual friend Tim Hincks, an old bandmate.

He said: "Tim worked with me on a show and introduced me to Lisa, who worked with his wife, Pippa.
"Now, much more importantly, we play in a band together.
"But we don't talk rock'n'roll in front of wives - they don't take us seriously."
He was eliminated from Strictly a fortnight ago and missed out on performing at the Blackpool Ballroom.
After his exit, Krishnan was seen weeping as he talked about how the show had "changed" him as person.
He also said he was "grateful" for the time he had on Strictly.
