Why did she have surgery on her face?
Siebel Newsom took to Instagram on March 27, 2023, to post a video of her latest face scar, along with some wisdom regarding its origin story.
“I had this little spot, it took me too long to go in and ask what it was. I thought it was something else,” she said.
“For those of you youngsters who think you’re invisible, this is my second Mohs surgery for carcinoma on my face.”
According to the National Cancer Institute, Mohs surgery is a procedure performed when skin tissue becomes cancerous.
In the video, the actress stressed the importance of regular check-ups with one's dermatologist and recommended wearing hats and sunscreen in order to “avoid [surgery]” at all costs.
