Wrexham striker Paul Mullin is reluctant to approach club co-owner Ryan Reynolds for assistance in securing tickets for Taylor Swift concerts.
Amid the NFL's admiration for Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, it appears Mullin is also a fan. Reynolds has known the songstress for quite some time through wife and actress Blake Lively, who is good friends with Swift.
But despite their close-knit relationship, Mullin is apparently hesitant to ask Reynolds for help in getting tickets to one of her gigs. Humphrey Ker, executive director at the club, recently spoke to the Men in Blazers podcast. During the appearance, he revealed Mullin's attempts to use him to get entrance into one of the Eras Tour concerts.
"He does occasionally text me things like 'Can you get me Taylor Swift tickets?' I'm like, 'No, how would I get you Taylor Swift tickets," said Ker during the show. "Try Ryan. His wife is best friends with her!' And he's like, 'I don't want to ask him.' I'm like, 'Well, do you want me to ask? You want me to go cap in hand asking for Taylor Swift tickets from Ryan? No, do it yourself!'"

Mullin has become a reliable performer for Wrexham since he joined the club in 2021. He joined the club shortly after its takeover by Reynolds and co-chairman Rob McElhenney. Mullin immediately made an impact, and has now scored an impressive 88 goals for the Red Dragons and propelled them into the race for consecutive promotions.
Swift and Lively's friendship began in 2015 when Lively playfully referenced Swift's "Bad Blood" music video in a picture from a L'Oreal campaign. Despite initial speculation of a subtle jab, Lively soon revealed herself as a devoted Swiftie.
Their bond strengthened during a trip to Australia and, since then, their friendship has been close-knit. The duo frequently showcased their connection on social media, standing by each other at significant events, including holiday parties and birthdays. Swift even integrated Lively and Reynolds' children into her music, featuring James' voice in "Gorgeous" and referencing James, Inez, and Betty in Folklore. In 2023, Lively and the kids supported Swift during her Eras Tour, calling her "aunt" Taylor.
To boost Wrexham's social and global presence, Reynolds previously spoke on the Fearless In Devotion podcast and said that he wanted Swift to perform at the Racecourse, the club's home stadium. Due to the stadium's limited seating, he included that his wishes would likely not happen.
"We're going to need some more seats, Rob," Reynolds laughed as he spoke with club co-owner Rob Mcelhenney. "They [Swift and Beyonce] play the biggest of the big stadiums."
"I would love to see any band," he continued. "Either ones I grew up listening to or ones I've found as an adult. What a venue the Racecourse is. I love that that's happening now."
