It's been more than a decade since Desperate Housewives ended, following an eight season run that included much acclaim, such as multiple Golden Globe and Emmy awards.

Many of its former cast members have continued to act in the years since the popular ABC show concluded. Some have pursued other opportunities, including roles behind the camera instead, like directing or producing projects.

Madison De La Garza, now 21, who had a recurring role on Desperate Housewives before being promoted to its main cast, is among those who have done both. She has since remained in the industry, just like her famous older sibling.

Madison is best known for having played Juanita Solis. The character, originally played by Kaili Say in the fourth season, is the eldest daughter of Gabrielle Solis (played by Eva Longoria) and Carlos Solis (Ricardo Antonio Chavira).

After taking over the role in the show's fifth season, Madison was a cast member in its three subsequent seasons. She appeared on Desperate Housewives from 2008 until the final season in 2012, which concluded the popular series.

Her credits in the years since then have included films like Gnome Alone (2017) and a recurring role on the CBS show Bad Teacher back in 2014. She has also appeared alongside her older sibling Demi Lovato, 31, in a couple of projects.

Most recently, Madison appeared in the singer-songwriter's YouTube documentaries Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated (2017) and Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil (2021). She was previously in MTV's Demi Lovato: Stay Strong (2012).

The siblings have also acted in two Disney Channel projects together, including an episode of Sonny with a Chance in 2009, in which Madison played the younger version of Demi's character Sonny Munroe. They were both also part of the cast of the film Princess Protection Program (2009).

Madison has ventured into directing in recent years, with her listed as a director on the short films Pink Elephant (2020) and Surprise (2023), with the latter project having been released earlier this year. The actor is also credited as a writer and producer behind the short film Subject 16 (2018).

Madison keeps fans updated on her life and career through social media platforms like Instagram. She continues to receive comments from fans about her role on Desperate Housewives at times, more than a decade since it ended.

And she teased to E! earlier this year that she'd be up for a revival about the show's younger generation of characters, saying: "I always say, if I was asked to be in hair and makeup at 5 a.m. tomorrow morning for a reboot, I would be there absolutely 100 percent. I think it would be iconic."
