Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool have a rare midweek off as they gear up for a frantic few weeks which could shape their season.
The Reds claimed a crucial win over Everton on Monday, with goals from Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo making the difference. That could count for little by the end of the month, though, with a European knockout game against Real Madrid coming in between league games against Newcastle and Crystal Palace.
Takeover and investment talk has also rumbled on behind the scenes after suggestions that FSG could be open to a sale. That's just one of the latest developments from around Anfield.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has overlooked his old club when tipping his Champions League winner. The Reds finished second in their group behind Napoli - setting up a round of 16 test against Real Madrid.
The Serie A leaders have never won the Champions League, and Carragher said he would love to see them go all the way. Instead, though, he has tipped Manchester City to end their own wait for Europe's top honours.
Jurgen Klopp's approach with Robert Lewandowski bodes well for Darwin Nunez“Yeah I think Napoli right now are the form team,” the former Reds favourite said on CBS Sports. “I would love to see them win it, an outsider behind the big teams you expect to win it. But I think this could be the season of Manchester City.”

Former Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton has held meetings with a consortium of billionaires over potential investment in the club. However, he has suggested some of those he has spoken to are put off by the club's location.
The 75-year-old was chairman of the club in 2010, and was also involved with a consortium which explored buying Chelsea before Todd Boehly's takeover. He held more talks with certain individuals, but noted that their ties to London made an investment in Liverpool less appetising.
"So they are all Chelsea fans and not in the 68-year way going down there to watch them in the way I am but that is their team and they enjoy going down there," Broughton said. "They were attracted by the idea of investing in a football team and Chelsea specifically."

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Mohamed Salah's performance in the Merseyside derby was "important" as the Egyptian looks to rediscover top form. The Reds' number 11 is the top scorer for the club this season, but his derby opener was his first league goal since Boxing Day.
“Tonight, we again saw the Salah that wins challenges, changes pace, is present in the build-up of the game," Wenger said on beIN Sports. "After the World Cup, he looked like he had played in the World Cup because he couldn’t find his acceleration.
"Tonight was the first time I’ve seen him again as we know him – a world-class player, deadly in finishing. He still missed two or three chances, but he scored the opener. That will give him confidence. We’ll see now how he continues. Overall, it was an important night for Salah."
