Reality TV star Ferne McCann has revealed that Lorri Haines was 'a total bachelor' before the couple got together and settled down.
Ferne and Lorri began dating in 2021 before getting engaged last year and welcoming daughter Finty earlier this year. As the family prepare to enjoy Christmas as a family of four alongside Ferne's daughter Sunday, Ferne has shared how fiancé Lorri dismissed Christmas traditions one year, instead choosing to have his turkey dinner in an airport ahead of jet setting on holiday.
The mum of two, who is fronting a campaign for One4All Gift Cards, explained: "I mean Lorri was such a bachelor before I met him. On one Christmas Day he flew abroad and had his Christmas dinner in the airport.
"I was like, I don't think that's a tradition. But yeah, he was just living his best bachelor life until he met me and we've blended our families. So we won't be doing that!
"This is actually going to be our second Christmas spending it together. I mean, we went very fast paced - had a baby, got engaged and all of that but this is gonna be our second Christmas so I think we're gonna start making our own traditions together."
How Ferne McCann hid her baby bump from using Sunday as a cover to baggy jacketsFerne also revealed that some of her own Christmas traditions have baffled Lorri, as the couple look to blend their Christmas traditions together this year: "I've really had to sort of look a lot into our Christmas traditions and my Christmas tradition that my mum has always done is put a little satsuma in our Santa sack and when I got with Lorri he'd never heard of that and he thought it was really mad.
"When I said to him last year, 'oh we need to get a satsuma, even if it's an orange or whatever you can pick up' and he was like 'what on earth for?!'"
She added: "It's not until you spend Christmas with others that are not from your immediate family or when you find yourself in a new relationship that you spend it with people that you wouldn't normally spend it with. That's when you actually realise how different and unique everyone's Christmases are, but I think that that can make it really fun because you can incorporate different cultures, different cuisines, and others traditions. I actually really like blending traditions, especially now being in a blended family."
Ferne also recently opened up on the surprisingly sweet gesture from Lorri to her six-year-old daughter Sunday after he got down on one knee last summer. The couple got engaged in during a romantic getaway to France with Ferne explaining how Lorri made the proposal special for Sunday too. explained: "When I got engaged Sunday took my ring. She wanted to look at it and she took it and wouldn't give it back. She was like 'No'. So then Lorri went out and took her, and now she's got like this special little ring from Pandora. And then it's like she's got her little ring as well, which is which is so cute."
