A woman who thought she got the perfect revenge on her nightmare neighbour by sending a Christmas card full of glitter has admitted her plan backfired - because her neighbour phoned the police.

The anonymous mum said in 2022 she had recently moved into a new neighbourhood with her husband and their newborn baby, and started to have trouble with their next-door neighbour almost immediately. The problems started when the woman's husband was out walking their corgi puppy, and the neighbour "shrieked" and ran inside when the dog - described as the "least terrifying animal on Earth" - approached her.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the matter. Just a few days later, a humane officer turned up at the couple's door, and told them they would be fined for allowing the pup to "charge" at the neighbour if it ever happened again, stating she had been left "terrified for her safety."

The neighbour has also reportedly called the police "multiple times" on another one of their neighbours for mowing too close to their lawn. Eventually, the fed-up mum reached her limit and decided to seek revenge - with a Christmas card containing glitter that would be a nightmare to clean up.

Taking to Reddit, the vengeful woman recalled: "I found an online website that anonymously sends people glitter bomb Holiday/Christmas cards so when you open it, it shoots glitter EVERYWHERE. A month went by and I was wondering if this website just took my money or if she just wasn't going to say anything about it.

"I s*** you not a cop comes to my door, asks to come inside and then busts out laughing explaining he's here over a glitter Christmas card. He tells me I made his day and that was the funniest call he's ever attended, and leaves. Totally legal and great petty revenge."

She went on to clarify that she is now on surprisingly good terms with the neighbour, who is apparently "just a bit socially anxious" beneath her Karen exterior. They smoothed things over after she brought her over a cat she couldn't keep as a peace offering. Although some didn't believe they could have become friends after all the drama that had gone down, the mum shared a screenshot of a text exchange where the neighbour laughingly admitted she still had the card.
