We're halfway through January and already Liverpool have shown plenty of activity in the transfer market.
It may not have seen any business to strengthen Jurgen Klopp's side heading into the latter stages of the season, but the Reds have certainly looked at their position.
The Premier League side have seen 20 players head out on loan this season and have been unafraid to recall their youngsters from moves that simply have not worked out. That could be due to injury, not enough playing time or simply finding a better option.
Fabio Carvalho, for example, has swapped clubs this month and with 90 minutes on his debut for Hull, it appears a wise decision. Mirror Football takes a look at who has thrived and struggled away from Anfield so far this season...
Calvin Ramsay
The right back made two appearances for Liverpool last term before seeing his season curtailed by an injury which required surgery. 2023/24 saw Ramsay join Preston on loan but it was late November before he was able to make his debut.
Premier League odds and betting tipsAfter joining pre-season late as he continued his rehabilitation, Ramsay suffered a knee problem that ruled him out for four months. After just two appearances, the 20-year-old was recalled by Liverpool this month.
Fabio Carvalho

Harvey Davies
The 20-year-old goalkeeper was everpresent for Crewe Alexandra until mid-December but two errors against Accrington Stanley saw his side give up a lead and boos arrive from his own fans. Boss Lee Bell came to Davies' defence but has not started the youngster since.
Owen Beck
While the young left-back barely missed a minute while on loan at Dundee, he was recalled earlier this month with the carrot of first-team football dangled in front of him by Jurgen Klopp. Injuries to Kostas Tsimikas and Andrew Robertson could provide the opportunity, though he faces competition from Joe Gomez for the moment.
"We are really positive about Owen but he had two difficult loan spells, things can happen when you move away from home," Klopp said of Beck's situation. "Must be the right manager, right team, another experienced left-back already there, so many things can happen. The situation here is clear; we've lost two left-backs, so the boy we like is available so we bring him back. That is it."
A possibility of a move to Celtic still appears to be an option however.
