WORKING with a former partner can have its downsides, particularly in the public eye.
However, Emmerdale proved last night that it can be done by airing rare scenes with a former real-life couple.
On our screens, she only has eyes for Cain Dingle, despite the many hurdles they've had to jump through.
Off-screen, Natalie J. Robb found love in the form of Emmerdale co-star Jonny McPherson aka Dr Liam Cavanagh.
The soap stars became romantically involved during the Covid pandemic and even moved in together during lockdown in July 2020.

After an intense relationship, the pair realised they'd be better off as friends and called it quits in June, 2021.
While they remain on good terms, their on-screen alter egos don't have much to do with one another.
But when Moira wanted to make her other half reconsider taking the blame for Al Chapman's death, she turned to Liam in the hopes he could have a word with Cain.
"I just wish he'd listen to reason, 30 years that's what he's facing", Moira said.
Liam later paid Cain a visit, admitting he understood why he pleaded guilty for Al's murder as he would have done the same for his late daughter Leanna.
"I totally get why you want to protect Kyle, I'd feel exactly the same", the village GP added.
This wasn't enough to convince Cain to reveal the truth about Al's passing, leaving Liam to deliver Moira the news.
Speaking to The Sun last month, Natalie J. Robb mentioned her scenes with her former partner, clearly pleased to see him again.
"We were doing a few scenes together the other day and it was lovely to see him. Our characters don’t really have much to do with each other on screen, so it was nice working with him", she said.
As viewers know, Cain's son Kyle Winchester is responsible for Al's murder and has been struggling with a guilty conscience in recent scenes.

Moira first accepted Cain taking the fall for the young boy but after Caleb Milligan's arrival in the eponymous village, she's been more than determined to get him out of prison.
