Irish actress Jessie Buckley has tied the knot with a mystery man following her heartbreaking split with Happy Valley star, James Norton.
Jessie, 34, has since moved on from the split which she called 'acrimonious' and has secretly wed her new beau after falling head over heels when they were set up on a blind date. The Lost Daughter star tied the knot and is now a proud wife to a man known only as Freddie - a mental health worker from North London. The lovebirds were set up on a blind date by their mutual pal, music guru, Marc Robinson.
Sharing little detail about her new husband, Jessie did reveal that her love is heading back to university to work in the mental health industry. Unlike her very famous ex James, Jessie's new husband appears to be out of the limelight and seemingly wants to stay that way.
"He's gone back to university to work in mental health," she told Daily Mail's Eden Confidential column. The couple tied the knot at their home in Norfolk over the summer, where cheese toasties were served and washed down with endless Guinness. "One of my favourite memories of the day was: I wanted a keg of Guinness, and I definitely wanted their cheese toasties at a certain hour. And then they came and did breakfast the next day," she told the publication.
Following their nuptials, the pair have been on numerous honeymoons to celebrate. Jessie - who earned a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nomination for 2021 psychological drama movie 'The Lost Daughter' - said: "We had many moons. We actually just kind of bottled into friends' holidays. Loads of friends were going away and they rented a place and were, like, 'come with us'. It was really nice. Usually I'm away shooting or something, and because of the [Hollywood] strike everything got moved, so I've had a whole year just to, like, hang out."

Jessie said her home is from the "1500s and falling down and orange".
Jessie's marriage comes six years after she confirmed that she and James - who had met on the set of BBC drama 'War and Peace' - had split after a whirlwind romance. At the time of their breakup, she said: "We have broken up, yes. It was acrimonious, but it’s a tough job to have a relationship and he is a great man and we are great friends. That’s it. How diplomatic can I sound? If you are away for a year filming, you are just not physically around at points."
Her former flame James has also moved on and is happily and quietly loved up with Hollywood actress Imogen Poots. The couple are notoriously private about their love life and are often only pictured together on rare occasions.
The pair met in 2017 whilst acting together in London's West End, and confirmed their romance in December 2017 with the pair now set to tie the knot after James got down on one knee to pop the all important question. Both Imogen and James rarely comment on their relationship or share anything to Instagram, with Imogen telling the Evening Standard in 2020: "I'm not a fan [of social media] because I'm seeing what it's doing to the generation below me, and that's really sad with mental health."
Imogen is is best known for her roles in 28 Weeks Later, Knights of Cups, Outer Range, I Know This Much Is True and That Awkward Moment. The pair initially began their relationship as long distance, before moving in together in London. The couple have not hinted or shared details of when their wedding might be.
