A pregnant woman has been killed in a brutal execution as she sat in the car waiting for her dad to pick up some cake.
Marissa Perez, 25, was sitting in the passenger seat of the car when she was fatally shot in what police believe was a targeted killing.
She was on her way to a birthday party with her dad in Los Angeles, US.
As she waited in the car, another vehicle pulled up to next to her with someone inside open firing.
The woman, who was expecting her baby in June, was hit several times including once in the head, her mum has said.

Perez's mum, Sandra Tolentino, told Eyewitness News: "She was 25. She was about to be a mother in five more months. She was so happy.
"She always cared for so many people. Her heart was literally on her sleeve every day."
April Perez, Marissa's aunt, spoke to her niece moments before the shooting took place.
In an interview with KTLA, April revealed Perez's boyfriend was the first to raise red flags, calling the aunt to see if Perez had made it to the party.
She explained: "Her boyfriend calls me and tells me 'did Marissa make it there yet?' and I'm like 'no' and then he hangs up on me.
"She was just an innocent person that didn't deserve to be brutally murdered like that, or her baby," April said.
The hunt for the shooter continues as mourners left flowers and heartfelt messages at the scene.
Marissa was expecting her baby in June (ABC 7)According to her family, she was "the most loyal, loving, outgoing, and strongest person".
"She should have never been taken from us that way," Tolentino told ABC7.

"She still had such a life ahead of her and it kills me that we won't be able to have that next chapter. Don't hold grudges and just love, love so hard because you just never know when will be the last time to say goodbye."
The victim's mum Sandra Tolentino speaks to ABC7 (ABC 7)No more information about the suspect or suspects have been released, but police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Perez's family set up a GoFundMe to help support them through this difficult time.
