Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian has risked the wrath of fur campaigners as she was seen stepping out in an oversized grey and black fur coat.
The star's coat has not been confirmed to be real fur, and could be faux fur, but her style statement could raise a few eyebrows given her vocal stance for PETA and anti fur in the past. In 2008, Khloe fronted a campaign where she posed naked alongside the tagline "Fur? I'd rather go naked". She has previously been vocal in her views and promise to not wear fur, so this could well appear to be a U-turn.
The 39-year-old donned the fur style coat as she stepped out in Aspen alongside sisters Kim and Kendall, where she accesorised the look with a furry black bucket hat, chunky black snow boots. and a designer black Hermès bag.

The fur coat wardrobe choice comes 15 years after Khloe was highly vocal in her views against using fur and animal cruelty. In 2008 when she posed naked in an anti fur campaign for PETA, Khloe was vocal about her views on fur and its use within the fashion industry. Four years later, her sister Kim was pelted with flour after wearing fur on the red carpet with the culprit later revealed to be one of PETA's most influential members. The incident saw Khloe issue an online statement, which read: "Hi dolls. I'm sure you all heard what happened to Kim last week (thank you SO much for the love and support you all showed her), and I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise.
Khloe Kardashian nearly busts out of low-cut top & sports funky New Year's Eve glasses as star preps to ring in 2023"Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior. I've been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me."
She continued: "As you all know, I don't condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that. I am absolutely disgusted by their behavior. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions — I personally don't wear fur but that doesn't mean I am going to force my views on anyone else, ESPECIALLY by violating them. I am a very proud sister right now, because Kim handled last week's incident like a champ. She got cleaned up and was back out there in a matter of minutes. Go Kimmie!
"We all need to practice what we preach. I will still continue to NOT wear fur, but I will no longer support PETA. Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won't be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise."
