TOTTENHAM have rejected a bid from Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi side for Emerson Royal.

Al-Nassr made an offer - believed to be in the region of £20million - for the Brazilian.

They are understood to be weighing up a fresh offer for the versatile defender.

Royal, 25, is believed to be happy in North London.

He is behind Pedro Porro in the pecking order at right-back.

But he has proved himself a player capable of filling in at left-back and centre-back this term when other players have been injured.

Royal recently said he now sees centre-back as one of his new positions, having fared well there in recent months.

Ange Postecoglou also credited the Brazil international as one of his three best trainers earlier this season, along with Ben Davies and Oliver Skipp.

Royal was signed from Barcelona for just shy of £26m in 2020.

Since then he has played 95 times for the club.
