Drummer Tommy Lee joked how it was "show and tell" time with the brutle series of images showing the operation needed to his left hand.

Not for the faint-hearted, they showcased both the deep incision made during the operation and exposed tendons as well as the pattern of stitches travelling down his fourth finger to his palm afterwards.

Tommy, who also founded rap metal band Methods Of Mayhem, joked in his caption: "Hope this doesn’t wreck your lunch."

He then explained: "Only three weeks ago I underwent a hand surgery by @drcohenhandsurgeon.

"He addressed two debilitating issues for me as a drummer, keyboard player and pretty much everything to do with my right hand. And yesterday was f***ing monumental for me to the point of tears ….

"I have my life back and my money makers . And for you drummers and musicians out there I can say it’s possible to fix!

"And in the last clip I’m able to twirl my sticks again… I haven’t been able to do that in a few years because of the Dupytrens Contracture and carpal tunnel issues that are now gone!

"@drcohenhandsurgeon and the staff there I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL."

Fans will no doubt be elated that Tommy, who was married to Pamela Anderson for three years, is back on form.

The Kickstart My Heart hitmaker's surgeon was quick to add: "You have worked hard and followed all the instructions with great care!

"You are crushing it and will only continue to get better. Three weeks is so early for a major hand surgery!!

"Looking forward to seeing that hand do what it does best at high volume!"

His ex Pamela - with whom he shares two kids - recently told how she had sex with the music star "24/7."

The American rock band's chart-topping singles include Alone, Magic Man, Crazy on You, Barracuda and What About Love - with the group soon set to tor the UK.

Folk rock star Neil Young is also getting the band back together for a reunion tour and album 10 years after the last shows.

Meanwhile, back in 2022, another rockstar hero revealed their secret battle with cancer.

Rage Against The Machine bassist Tim Commerford candidly told how he'd been on a "brutal" journey after being diagnosed with prostate cancer.

He heartbreakingly told how he had "never felt pain like it".

Tim then underwent horror surgery just months after the band headed out on their comeback tour.
