HARRY and Meghan's "misguided" photo shoot with the Jamaican PM was not "ideal", slammed a Palace source.

The Duke and Duchess were branded "embarrassing" after posing on the red carpet with Jamaican leaders  at the star-studded Bob Marley premier on Tuesday.

Their "insensitive" appearance comes as Princess Kate and King Charles are both in hospital recovering from surgery.

Kate, 42, was admitted to The London Clinic on Wednesday, January 17 for a pre-planned abdominal operation, which is set to see the Royal miss a string of events for the next few months.

The Monarch, 75, was spotted entering hospital on Friday with Queen Camilla by his side to undergo treatment for an enlarged prostate.

Now, a source has called out the Sussexes on their snaps with Jamaican PM Andrew Holness and Marlene Malahoo Forte, Jamaica's minister for legal and constitutional affairs - who last year vowed to "sever ties" between Jamaica and the monarchy.

As reported by The Times, they said the "misguided" visit was "not what you would call ideal" and "not especially welcome back in London".

However, sources close to William claimed he was “concerned with other matters”.

It is the week the King is going for enlarged prostate treatment and Catherine is in hospital, so obviously the Royal Family is not in a strong state at the moment."

The Royal dad-of-three has taken a step back from public duties to help take care of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis after Kate went in for surgery.

While William stays by his wife's side, Harry and Meghan are understood to have flown to the island by private jet, and spent a night at the "luxurious" and "very fancy" Terra Nova Hotel.

The Sun understands that the pair were jetted to the event as guests of Paramount Pictures.

Insiders tell The Sun that although Paramount has yet to agree any formal collaboration with the Sussexes, a deal could be in the pipeline - which would be welcomed as they face a $9.5million mortgage for their Montecito mansion and various business ventures dwindle.

It comes after Marlene Malahoo Forte announced in January the government would bring a Bill to Parliament in April to remove the King as head of state by 2025 - there are no plans for Jamaica to leave the Commonwealth.

The Royal Family previously insisted it is up to the people living in Realms to determine if they wish to leave.

The then-Prince Charles attended the transition of Barbados to a republic in 2021.

He remains Head of State of of 15 Realms including Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, and the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, two years ago, Mr Holness ambushed Prince William and wife Kate during their ill-fated Caribbean trip — telling them that the country was ready to “move on”.

A 'deliberate message'

And, Royal Experts have dubbed Harry and Meg's appearance following tensions a "deliberate message" sent to the Royal Family.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun: "It is the week the King is going for enlarged prostate treatment and Catherine is in hospital, so obviously the Royal Family is not in a strong state at the moment."

The Royal Expert touched on the "tremendous" popularity Harry was met with when he visited there in 2021 as part of the Diamond Jubilee Tour.

Mr Fitzwilliams continued: "It's almost as thought the Sussexes are saying 'look what would have happened if we had stayed with the Royal Family' - suggesting they would have been tremendously popular there.

"Harry and Meg are clearly using Jamaica, where Kate and Wills had a particularly tough experience, as a springboard to remind the Royal Family of what they lost when they lost the couple as senior working royals."

Meanwhile, Royal Biographer Angela Levin thought their appearance was "embarrassing" and branded the couple "desperate".

She believed it was the perfect event for the Duke and Duchess to be noticed - something they crave, according to the expert.

She told The Sun Online: "Pictures were taken with Andrew Holmess, and he was the one who told William and Kate he wanted to sever ties and remove King Charles as head of state.

"I think that's embarrassing really."

Mrs Levin also touched on the fact Harry and Meg were seen trying to cosy up to the CEO of Paramount Pictures Brian Robbins.

The expert cast her mind back to a conversation reportedly overheard at an event in 2020 in which the Duke allegedly asked a Disney boss to give Meghan a job.

She then landed a voice over role for animation Elephants.

"I think they're both desperate to be seen in the right places and being at a premier such as this one would be just the one right for them," said Mrs Levin.

She added: "They were photographed with Brian Robbins, the CEO of Paramount Pictures.

"I think Meghan would believed he would like to offer her a leading role, however his wife didn't say a word to either of them, neither did Robbins I'm told."

The Sun Online reached out to Archewell and Buckingham Palace for comment.

'Doing well'

This comes as Queen Camilla was spotted leaving The London Clinic yesterday afternoon.

She smiled at reporters as she headed back to her car and is understood to have told people inside the hospital the King is "doing well".

The Monarch is also believed to have visited Kate, who is on the 12th day of her hospital stay.

It is not known how long Charles will spend in hospital but reports suggest he could remain there over the weekend.

He was diagnosed with the benign condition on January 17 while staying at Birkhall, Aberdeenshire, after going for a check-up because he was experiencing symptoms.

The King is understood to have wanted to share the news to encourage other men to get themselves checked.
