Picking the right broadband plan can be key to getting optimal speeds for as little money as possible, ensuring consumers don't lock into a lengthy plan that's not the best value for money. In the latest internet deal, Virgin Media will give you £75 in bill credit if you pick one of its contracts.

The Virgin Media M250 broadband plan to be exact, and anyone who takes this bundle to the checkout will get £75 from the provider to put towards their monthly bill. It means you can ditch paying anything at all for two months.

With download speeds of 264Mbps, the plan costs £36 a month across an 18-month contract, but the handy cash offer from Virgin means you'll bag two months of the contract for free. It's a welcomed deal considering many consumers are trying to ditch the rising prices.

The M250 bundle is one of the cheapest plans you could pick at the provider, after its lowest £29 a month M125 Fibre broadband tariff. Costing £7 more per month the bigger M250 offers the same staples as the cheapest plan but steps up its game when it comes to speed - ideal for any home workers out there.

Although there is a catch, as it's unknown how long this latest freebie offer will be around for so any eager shoppers will need to be quick. As it stands it's currently the only broadband plan with the provider that you'll get money back. Its other Fibre broadband plans, M125, M350, M500 and its Gig1 plans are excluded from the deal.

Anyone not interested in its M250 broadband plan should still keep an eye on the provider as it's well known for launching surprise freebies, just last week TV shoppers at Virgin Media could claim £250 in bill credit when they locked into a, you guessed it, TV plan. Rivals Sky has also just launched one of the bigger price drops we've seen on its M100 Fibre broadband plan, knocking £9.50 a month off the price - that's a saving of £171.

With smaller download speeds compared to Virgin Media's M250 plan the Sky M100 Full Fibre bundle is worth taking a look at if you have a small household. It starts at £28.50 a month.
