Bolasie made ten Championship appearances for the Swans, and a further two in the FA Cup.

He failed to register a goal or an assist during his short stint.

His most recent outing came in their 5-0 cup mauling at Bournemouth last week.

The former Crystal Palace and Everton star has now departed the Liberty Stadium following the expiry of his contract.

Upon Bolasie's departure, boss Williams said: "Yannick has been great to work with during his time at the club.

"He has been a real professional and we wish him well in whatever is next for him."

Bolasie played for Plymouth Argyle between 2008 and 2011 before leaving for Bristol City for a nominal fee.

Bolasie played 54 times for the Pilgrims as a youngster, scoring eight goals.

After one year at Bristol City the lively winger joined Crystal Palace, starring for the Eagles for four years and helping them earn promotion to the Premier League.

He signed for Everton in a £25million deal in 2016, but suffered with bad injuries at Goodison Park.

Bolasie had loan spells with Aston Villa, Anderlecht, Sporting Lisbon and Middlesbrough during his five years contracted to Everton.

He then spent two years in Turkey with Caykur Rizespor.

Argyle are trying to keep hold of winger Morgan Whittaker.

The 23-year-old has attracted interest from Lazio, having scored 15 times in the Championship this term.
