The Europa League last-16 draw takes place on Friday - and Liverpool, Rangers, West Ham and Brighton have now seen the list of their potential opponents narrowed down.

The play-off round of the Europa League has played out as the unseeded sides faced off against teams arriving into the competition from the Champions League looking to earn their place among the 16 sides to remain in the competition. Those who were successful now make-up the list of teams that this year's British entries can face.

The four sides are joined by Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, Slavia Prague and Villarreal as teams who won their group earlier in the competition and are deemed seeded. They cannot face each other.

Each will welcome a successful side from the tournament's knockout play-off after the ties came to a resolution on Thursday evening. Mirror Football lists the teams below.

Benfica - The Portuguese side advanced after a goalless draw away to Toulouse having prevailed 2-1 in the first leg.

Qarabag - The Azerbaijan Premier League team lost 2-0 in normal time to Braga to give up their 2-1 lead from the first leg. Despite being a man down, they were able to take the lead on aggregate in extra time thanks to Matheus Silva, before a 115th-minute Simon Banza penalty left the game destined for spotkicks. Qarabag were able to hit the final blow after 122 minutes and progress thanks to Neriman Axundzade's late effort however.

Freiburg - The Breisgau-Brasilianer required extra time to overcome Lens after drawing 2-2 all in normal time. Roland Sallai's 92nd-minute equaliser kept hopes alive before Michael Gregoritsch separated the sides in the first half of extra time.

AC Milan - The Rossoneri fell 3-2 against Lens but had enough of a lead from the first leg to progress through with a 5-3 aggregate win.

Sporting - A 3-1 win away at Young boys meant the Portuguese side had a steady night on home Thursday to navigate their way through.

Marseille - As Marseille's match with Shakhtar Donetsk looked set for extra time former Watford star Ismaila Sarr popped up with a pivotal goal to hand the French side a 4-3 lead on aggregate. Geoffrey Kondogbia added a third goal on the night after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had earlier ruled out Heorhiy Sudakov's opener.

Sparta Prague - Kaan Ayhan's red card for Galatasaray saw Sparta Prague score twice late on to prevail 3-1 on the night and 5-4 on aggregate against their Turkish opponents.

Roma - Penalties were required to separate Rome from Feyenoord, after a 1-1 draw in normal time. Nicolas Zalewski scored the winning penalty after Romelu Lukaku provided the first miss of the shootout. However, David Hancko and Alireza Jahanbakhsh ensured the Dutch side could not take advantage with misses of their own.
