A MAN has been charged with murder after a "one in a million" mum was found dead while her daughter was left fighting for her life.
The body of "much-loved" Wendy Francis, 61, was found at home in Worcester on Saturday night, while a 38-year-old woman, understood to be her daughter, was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

A murder probe was quickly launched and a man, 50, arrested.
Cops today said 50-year-old Damian Homer had been charged with the murder of Wendy, and the attempted murder of the 38-year-old woman who remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Wendy’s heartbroken family paid tribute to her yesterday.
Her loved ones said in a statement: “Wendy will be hugely missed; she was one in a million and much-loved.”
Neighbours claimed it was Wendy's daughter who was attacked alongside her, as they told of their shock around the death.
Andy Fowler, 62, has lived on the street his whole life and said he knew the mum well.
He said: "It has always been a good street.
"I saw the ambulance working on somebody and the police were holding a blanket around it, so I knew that something serious was going on.
"I know them very well. They are very good friends of mine.
"I am very shocked, I can't believe it."
Another neighbour, who is in his 70s and asked not to be named, said: "We've been here for 25 years and never had any bother, it's a lovely quiet street.

Friends and family paid tribute to Wendy on social media.
One said: "So sad. I remember Wendy and she was a lovely lady. Thoughts are with her loved ones."
Another said: "Sleep tight Wen, your family and friends will miss you. You’ve left a huge hole in so many lives. You will be forever a warrior - protecting the ones you loved."
While a third said: "Sad news to wake up to. Such a loving caring person that would do anything for everyone.
"She will be sadly missed. Shocked."
