THE funeral of chemical attack thug Abdul Ezedi was crowdfunded under a fake name.

Sex offender Ezedi, 35 — granted asylum after a bogus conversion to Christianity — was buried under the name Abdul Wahed in an Islamic ceremony last month.

The service was paid for with £6,596 raised by the Muslim Burial Fund.

A listing for the fundraiser did not mention he died after hurling strong alkaline chemicals at an ex-partner and her children in Clapham, South London, in January.

It also failed to mention his 2018 conviction for indecent exposure.

Instead, it said: “Please give our brother a dignified Islamic burial.

“He died tragically, in suspicious circumstances.”

An MBF representative said: “We bury Muslims, regardless of what they have been accused of.”

The representative told The Mail on Sunday: “Regardless of any person’s faith, be it Muslim or Christian, if the next of kin decide their loved one wants such and such a burial that’s what will happen.

“It is not the media who will decide nor the court of public opinion.

“Regardless of the person’s background, whatever they have been accused of doing, whatever their faith, as a charity we will only bury Muslims.”
