At the time of Gary's arrest the Met Police said: "Police in Westminster were called to an address at 01:24hrs on Friday 13 October following reports of a domestic incident.
“Officers arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of domestic assault.
"He has been taken to a central London police station for questioning.
"A woman found injured was taken to hospital."
Gary pleaded guilty to knocking out his wife at Westminster Magistrates court the following month.
He was ordered to pay a £5,000 fine and undergo alcohol rehabilitation.
Prior to his sentencing, chief magistrate Emma Arbuthnot was told that Julie-Ann was seeking a restraining order against Gary after a series of incidents between the couple.
Arbuthnot responded by saying that she would spare Gary jail but said: "I am looking at ways of protecting this lady from this man. There may be alcohol issues involved."

He told The Sun: "I think she (Carole) will probably be watching me from behind the sofa, slightly anxious, but I do think if the best version of Gary turns up, she'd be very proud of me — that's what we were hoping for."
He is also optimistic that his niece, the Princess of Wales, will be tuning in with her children Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte.
Gary said: "If it turns out it's been reported brilliantly and I'm doing great, then I almost guarantee that she will.

"But if I make people proud, I'll be absolutely chuffed and maybe they'll get to see it.
"But I need to work on my potty mouth first. I swear a lot."
