The popular star also presented two Channel 5 Christmas specials: Gregg Wallace's Grand Christmas Adventure and Gregg Wallace's Magical Christmas Market.

In March 2023, Gregg revealed he will no longer host the BBC series Inside The Factory as he wishes to focus on his autistic son.

He said: "So I’ve made a decision that I’m actually not going to do Inside The Factory any more.

"It’s a good time to stop doing it because there’s actually 12 episodes in the can…

"So I wouldn’t have been filming for a while anyway so it just seemed like a good idea to stop it."

Are Gregg Wallace and John Torode friends?

In 2021, Gregg talked about his friendship with John, where he explained they get on but keep their relationship to a working one.

Speaking on The One Show, he said: "And people still ask if we are really mates, 'Do you really get on because we heard you don't get on?

"It's been nearly 20 years and I knew him 10 years before this, so we've known each other 30 years."

John added: "We've done 10 years not 19 series, so we are up to nearly 40 series, then you put professional on top of that and juniors, 19 years on TV, we feel lucky."

The pair returned to our screens for season 20 of MasterChef in 2024.

Speaking about the new series, Gregg told the BBC: "I think it's very simple. I think what keeps it fresh are the contestants; that you just have new people all of the time, with different personalities, who aspire to different things, with different skill sets and different passions.

"So, although in its simplest form, people come into the MasterChef kitchen and cook, it's never the same.

"It's never the same because the people and their food in the kitchen are different."
