AFTER my favourite radio DJ Jordan North told his BBC overlords he was heading over to their biggest rival, it’s little wonder their knickers were in a twist.
The presenter was immediately pulled off air, with Jamie Laing drafted in to replace him alongside Vick Hope and new presenter Katie Thistleton on Radio 1’s drive time slot, Going Home.
And it all happened so quickly, Jamie has now admitted he didn’t even know what time he was supposed to be on air.
During his first show on Monday, Jamie said: “I didn’t even know it started at 3.30pm.
“I thought it started at two until Vick told me. I don’t have a contract yet.”

Vick added: “It’s all change here on Going Home.
“You go off and do Countdown, you go to Lapland and hello Katie and Jamie.
“What’s the worst that can happen? I know it was a whirlwind. A lot of things happened very quickly.”
Katie then chipped in and joked: “It’s classic first- day vibes here.
“I’ve locked my account as I’ve forgotten my password. Jamie doesn’t have a BBC login account.”
I first revealed how former I’m A Celebrity . . . favourite star Jordan had jumped ship to rival Capital last month in a mega-money deal.
He will take over from Roman Kemp from April, going head-to-head with Greg James in the all- important battle for ratings.

CELEBRITY Big Brother kicked off on Monday and it’s not just the housemates who will be having sleepless nights.
Host Will Best has admitted he is constantly left wide-eyed in bed because he spends hours worrying about the world ending.

Sydney Sweeney showed off a pair of fancy Miu Miu pants as she arrived at the brand’s show for Paris Fashion Week yesterday.
The Euphoria actress paired the sparkly undies with a black and white top and matching blazer as she arrived at the Palais de Tokyo.
She was sitting front row alongside fellow actor Emma Corrin.
Of her style choices, Sydney, who grew up in Idaho, said: “I learned a lot when I moved to LA.
“I learned that there’s no boundary, no box that beauty and style was put in, that you can be whoever you want.
“That was really inspiring”
I’m a fan of Sydney’s fashion sense but I think I’ll leave this look to her.
SECRET TO BARRY’S BUNS? SAYING NO TO BURGER BUNS
SERIAL nudist Barry Keoghan is taking a leaf out of Calvin Harris’s book and ditching carbs to stay buff.
The actor, who danced naked in 2023 film Saltburn and stripped for the cover of Vanity Fair mag, asked chefs at Hereford burger joint Beefy Boys to remove the bun from his order and double up on the meat.
I bet that smelt nice the following day . . .
A source said: “Barry was very polite but was keen to personalise his order when he went into the restaurant.
“With awards season in full flow and countless other events with free bars, it has been hard to keep his diet in check but Barry is doing his best – so he ditched the bun and doubled up on the meat.
“He looks incredible so it’s no surprise he loves getting his kit off.”
Barry’s “little Barry” has been the butt of award season’s jokes but he is proud of his scene in Saltburn, where he danced naked around a posh country house to Sophie Ellis-Bextor hit Murder On The Dancefloor.
He said: “It’s true vulnerability.
“You’re really kind of putting yourself out there in the most vulnerable state. It’s beautiful to look at.
“I’m not saying it’s because of my body, but it’s freeing to see that body move around in the way it does. It’s like a moving painting, almost.”

RUSS CROWE-ING OLD GRACEFULLY
WHILE many of Hollywood’s famous faces are full to the brim with Botox, Russell Crowe has promised he’ll never go for cosmetic beauty treatments.
On Ryan Tubridy’s Virgin Radio Show yesterday the Gladiator actor said: “That scares me, that stuff.
"I look at pictures of people I have grown up with and what they have done to their face with injections and s***, it scares me.”
Talking about the pressure to look young, especially in tinseltown, Russell – who turns 60 next month – added: “I am fully prepared to play my actual age so I don’t have the concerns and worries of other people in the same profession who are desperately trying to hang onto their youth.”

WATCH out Cillian Murphy, I think David Beckham wants in on Peaky Blinders.
Becks did his best impression of the Birmingham gangsters look in this posh suit and flap cap as he took his famous family out to celebrate Brooklyn’s birthday.
He even slipped the doorman at posh London restaurant Oswald’s a score – £20 – for his troubles in a slick handshake move the Peaky lot would have been proud of.

Li-Lo, who made an appearance in the new Mean Girls film, confirmed she’s working with Jamie Lee Curtis on a sequel to their cult 2003 hit Freaky Friday.
