MILLIONS of gadget owners can now use a powerful AI without having to even make an account.
OpenAI is opening up ChatGPT so you can start chatting for free right away – with no sign-ins required.
ChatGPT is one of the world's most famous AI apps, giving you answers to almost any question in an eerily human-like way.
Now the barrier to entry is lowered because you don't even need to log in.
"We're rolling this out gradually, with the aim to make AI accessible to anyone curious about its capabilities," OpenAI explained.

The company added: "For anyone that has been curious about AI’s potential but didn’t want to go through the steps to set-up an account, start using ChatGPT today."
More than 100 million people are using ChatGPT weekly across 185 countries, according to OpenAI.
You can try ChatGPT as a mobile app on iPhone or Android, or on your desktop with a Windows PC or Apple Mac.
But there is a catch: you'll find yourself using a more restricted version of ChatGPT if you don't create an account.
"We’ve also introduced additional content safeguards for this experience," OpenAI explained.
"Such as blocking prompts and generations in a wider range of categories."
OpenAI still recommends making an account to unlock bonus features.
For instance, an account lets you save and review your chat history.
You can also share chats with an account, and unlock extra features like voice conversations.
However, you use ChatGPT right now – minus these perks – without holding an account or paying any money for the premium version.

"It's core to our mission to make tools like ChatGPT broadly available so that people can experience the benefits of AI," OpenAI said.

One user posting to Reddit reacted by writing: "I love that they are doing this, it's quite convenient if you just want a quick answer."
CHAT'S GREAT?
ChatGPT is a powerful chatbot created by OpenAI.
It's based on a large language model that means it can process your sentences and respond almost as if it was another human.
The app launched on November 30, 2022 and saw a rapid rise in popularity.
Part of the app's appeal is how natural it feels to speak to ChatGPT.
"These models were trained on vast amounts of data from the internet written by humans, including conversations, so the responses it provides may sound human-like," OpenAI explained.
"It is important to keep in mind that this is a direct result of the system's design (i.e. maximizing the similarity between outputs and the dataset the models were trained on).
"And that such outputs may be inaccurate, untruthful, and otherwise misleading at times."
Conversations you have with the AI aren't necessarily private, as they may be read by human reviewers.
And the content you provide to the chatbot can also be used to train OpenAI's models.
However, you can opt out of this by going into ChatGPT settings if you have an account.
