RADZI Chinyanganya got his big break when he landed the plum job of hosting Blue Peter.

Since then his career has gone from strength to strength, and he is back on our screens as he reports on the 2024 Crufts on Channel 4.

Who is Radzi Chinyanganya?

Radzi Chinyanganya was born on September 12, 1986, in Oxford.

He grew up in Wolverhampton and is a British presenter, broadcaster, and TV personality.

Radzi attended Loughborough University before studying design in London.

Not long after this he landed a job as a Blue Peter presenter in 2013.

When did Radzi Chinyanganya leave Blue Peter?

Radzi was on Blue Peter for seven years until 2019.

Announcing his departure, he said: "After 5 INCREDIBLE years, I have decided to hang up my Blue Peter badge, and say goodbye to the show I absolutely loved growing up.

"If you had asked ten year old Radzi to describe his dream job, he would have immediately said 'a Blue Peter presenter".

"It has been a genuine childhood dream come true for me.

"Whether it's climbing the world's tallest man-made climbing wall, swimming across Lake Windermere or solo-skydiving with RAF Falcons', it's been the time of my life.

"I'll always be grateful for the experiences I've had, the people I've met and the relationships I've made.

"After 250 plus episodes, I have learnt an incomprehensible amount, met some game-changing people.

"I've broken a bone and genuinely given my blood, sweat and tears.

"I will undoubtedly miss being part of the show, but all good things must come to an end, and this has been great!

"So whilst my voyage on the BP ship comes into harbour, as one adventure ends, another begins.

"About which I couldn't be more excited for what lies ahead!"

When was Radzi Chinyanganya on Dancing On Ice?

Radzi competed in Dancing on Ice in 2020. and was partnered with pro skater Jessica Hatfield.

He was brought in as a last minute replacement for injured Michael Barrymore.

A source said at the time: "It's a real shame for Michael as he was hoping this would be his big comeback, but after his injury there is no way he could continue.

"Radzi is now going to have to get up to speed really quickly to get ready for the series which is now only weeks away."

After battling it out on the rink, Radzi was the third celebrity to leave the competition.

Radzi has become a familiar face on TV.

Before presenting Blue Peter he hosted London 2012 Olympic coverage and also CBBC's Wild.

The committed Christian has fronted Songs Of Praise as well as Match Of The Day Kickabout.

He was in Doha for the BBC's World Athletics 2019 coverage.

Radzi also hosted the ITV show Cannonball and was part of the presenting team for BBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics 2018.

Since 2018, the popular presenter has presented Crufts on Channel 4.

Speaking about why he loves hosting the famous dog show, he told The Independent: “I've worked on Crufts for the last few years, and you realise dogs aren't just cute.

"They're great for mental health, they're the most affectionate things on earth, they're loyal and they're always there – when you walk through the door they give you the best love, whether you've had a brilliant day or a rubbish day."
