Megan McKenna has shared an update with fans about her pregnancy after having announced earlier this week that she's expecting a baby with her fiancé Oliver Burke.
The singer-songwriter, 31, and the footballer, 26, shared the news with their followers on Instagram in a joint post on Thursday. Alongside a compilation video, the couple wrote: "A little bit of you & a little bit of me … now we're a family."
Following the announcement, Megan - who is best known for having been on shows like the Only Way is Essex and Celebrity Big Brother - has now shared details about her experience so far. She uploaded a video message on Friday.
It showed her and Oliver - who plays for Birmingham City at the moment - stood in their kitchen while she made a vegetable soup. Megan opened up in the video about now being able to "embrace" her bump and changing her diet.
She said: "I'm pregnant! We've had to keep the secret for obviously ... well, three months. So it's been really hard but I've actually got a cute, little bump. [...] So cute. And now I can actually embrace it and not wear oversized hoodies."
Pregnant Stacey Solomon brands herself an 'old fogy' over NYE plans with JoeMegan continued in the video: "We thought we'd just have a little catch-up with you while I'm currently making a vegetable soup. Firstly, we wanna say thank you so much to everybody [for the supportive messages]. It's been so overwhelming. I've been reading them all, it's so lovely."
The former reality TV star further told her followers earlier: "We're so excited but we have decided that we're not gonna do a gender reveal. We're gonna wait and be surprised because I think you never get surprises in life like that."
Megan continued: "I've been like y'know eating my three meals a day because I know before obviously I'd just eat a huge dinner and just snack through the day, and I know that's not good for the baby. That actually sounds crazy that I'm saying it out loud now. It does feel weird, doesn't it?"
She went on to reveal that she's been "really ill," though she didn't disclose further details. Megan shared at one point in the recent video: "I've been like really ill and stuff. And oh god. It's been a rollercoaster [but] it all turned out okay."
The X Factor: Celebrity winner said: "But yeah, I'm entering my 'mum era' and I'm so excited. I'm so excited. I mean, I've been saving things on my phone for months now about things I wanna get and outfits and everything. It's just so exciting. Obviously all neutral colours right now because we don't know what we're having." She concluded the video by saying to fans: "Anyway, thank you so much again."
Megan wrote in the caption of the post: "Yay I can finally say it out loud! Love you guys so much! Can’t wait to bring you on our journey with us…" It has been met with more than 40,000 likes on the platform and further support from fans.
