ESCAPE to the Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge have left fans emotional as they reflect on the past year in a poignant New Year message.
The couple rose to fame thanks to their antics on the popular Channel 4 series which documents their lives at the Chateau and the fun and chaos that came with it.
Dick and Angel shared a heartwarming postThey spoke of their plans for the New YearCredit: Channel 4However the programme ended on an impressive run earlier this year and now the pair have looked back on their year in a lengthy Instagram message.
The pair opened their post by saying: "We hope you have had some wonderful family time over the festive period.
"We certainly have been enjoying life at the Chateau at a different pace, and have been enjoying chatting about our last year over the holidays, but with Arthur & Dorothy back at school today, our Christmas hibernation is officially over!"

They added: "We start to plan our year and with a little bit more time on our hands, that will involve all sorts of new projects and maybe the start of writing our new book ;-)"
Dick and Angel also spoke of their excitment of thier upcoming Australian tour as well as celebrating son Arthur's 10th birthday.
The Instagram post continued: "We also have two imminent big events on the horizon.
"Arthur is turning 10 and has decided that this year, a ‘Boom' or as we know it, ‘Disco', is on the cards...then, we plan to have enough time to tidy the Chateau before we head off to Australia & New Zealand for our Dare-to-do-it tour."
Despite quitting TV life for now, the couple informed fans that they would be kept up to date with their busy and hectic life via their website and newsletter.
Fans were left gushing over the family in the comments and thanking them for entertaining audiences for the last number of years.
One fan declared: "Happy New Year. Looking forward to see what adventures you will be doing in 2023 and being kept up to date with the fun and laughter in your videos. XXxx"
A second penned: "Bless you all! We will miss the Strawbridge family but oh how we admire you for putting your children first and allowing them to now grow up out of the glare of the spotlight. Lots of fun and good times ahead for each of you."
