HOMES Under The Hammer host Dion Dublin says he and the team find all sorts in the auction properties — including cannabis plants.
The ex-Man United and Aston Villa striker, 54, told of noticing the pungent pot pong when looking around empty houses on the BBC daytime show.
He said: “We go in and we go, ‘Ahh . . . better not go in there’.
“Obviously, you can’t get it on the TV, but you get the aroma and you think, ‘Ahh, not today’. They’ve either had pets or maybe been growing something . . . anyway, I’ll say no more than that.”
Dion joined the show in 2015 after producers found out he owned property and had founded a building firm with a pal.

He has become known for his catchphrase of “stairs going up to the bedrooms” when viewing homes.
And Dion says he gets recognised more from Homes Under The Hammer — despite winning four England caps, and also playing for Coventry, Leicester, Celtic and Norwich, plus his extensive football punditry work.
He told the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast: “I could be in the supermarket and I’ll be by a lot of older couples saying, ‘That’s Dion Dublin from Homes Under The Hammer’. I’m thinking, ‘I used to play football’.
“It’s the older generation. And listen, I’m more than happy with it. I love the show, I love doing the job. I love that I’ve found something else to do.”
The Sun on Sunday told earlier this year of Dion’s co-host Tommy Walsh being replaced by Owain Wyn Evans.
