The headline of the post, which was shared four days ago, reads "What Alarm sound do you use?"

The user, identified only as @flyingbreadrester on the forum, detailed his bewilderment in the thread.

"A timeless discussion between me and my GF is the alarm she uses," the user said.

"She uses ‘bark’. Yes ‘bark’. Imagine your dreams being chased away by a pack of rabid dobermans," the thread continued.

"I either use ‘uplift’ or the buzzing of the phone is enough for me."

The user added that they have two questions: Is their girlfriend "really a psychopath" and what alarm do others use?

The post quickly gained traction, with other users sharing their opinions.

"I use my Apple Watch as my alarm. A gentle vibration is, in my opinion, better than a jumpscare in the morning," one person remarked.

"Bark? that’s funny. Please run away from her…" another person commented.

"There’s no jump scare with the sleep feature in the health app. I agree the watch is the way to do it, with vibrations only," a third said.

"But for people who need sound, don’t use the default alarm app, open health > sleep and set your alarm there," they added.

"It starts at a very very low volume, basically silent, and then works its way up. I suggest the tone “early riser”. It’s nice."

"I use the duck quack…it’s peaceful," another user noted.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR ALARM

You can sift through a wide variety of alarms on your iPhone by opening the Clock app, tapping the Alarms tab, and then selecting Edit.

Tap the alarm, tap Sound, and then go through all of them until you find one you like.

HOW TO USE THE SLEEP FOCUS

Sleep Focus helps users get a better night's rest by reducing distractions before and during bedtime.

For example, it can silence notifications and phone calls and it can signal to others that you're unavailable.

To set up the Sleep Focus on your iPhone, open Control Center, tap Focus, then tap Sleep.

Your Sleep Focus will turn on or off at your scheduled bedtime routine or wake-up time.

To share your Sleep Focus settings with your other devices, make sure you have Share Across Devices enabled.
