Katya Jones had a sweet reunion with her ex-dancing partner Tony Adams as the pair spent a weekend in the Cotswolds.
Sharing a string of photos from a recent weekend in the Cotswolds alongside the ex-football player and his family, the Strictly Come Dancing star unveiled another heart-warming snap where she can be seen sat by his side at a table, with a personalised mug at the forefront of the camera.
"Weekend with My Cotswold family", the 34-year-old captioned as she revealed she had enjoyed "dancing in the kitchen, shopping, singing, cooking and lots of hugs" throughout her weekend. But she also gave an important update on three pigs named after Strictly's biggest icons, writing: "FYI - Kat the pig, Anton du Pig and Claudia Winklepig have grown a lot and are doing great!"
Many of Katya's followers swarmed over to the comment section, evidently pleased to see the pair have retaining a strong bond after competing in the BBC One competition in 2022. "I love it when you all stay in touch with past contestants, who become friends", one of them wrote.
Another chimed in: "I love how many beautiful friendships come out of these strictly pairings", while a third echoed: "Dance and lasting friendships - two beautiful gifts." In her post, Katya could also be seen spending time with Tony's wife Poppy Teacher and three of his five children, Atticus, Hector and Iris. The former Arsenal played also shares two children, Oliver and Amber, with his first wife Jane Shea.
What Ola and James Jordan really ate and did to shed 7stBut while their friendship has grown from strength to strength since their Strictly stint, things weren't always smooth sailing for the pals as they had an explosive row during the closing moments of a show. The 57-year-old made a series of mistakes during his Salsa number earlier during the night, landing at the bottom of the leaderboard - and Katya was having none of it as she shouted at him soon after.
Remembering the row on Good Morning Britain in November, 2022, Tony admitted his dance partner was "a little over critical" before revealing he only wanted "to have a good time." But while off-screen tensions were rife during the competition, the duo brushed off rumours of a feud and joked that they "don't like each other."
"We constantly argue, don't we?", Tony had then quipped, prompting Katya to respond: "We just don't like each other at all, we don't get on!" Tony had then continued: "We've had two months together now. She's been training me and the routines she's putting on are incredible. And sometimes when I miss a step, sometimes she's a little bit over critical and I just want to have a good time as well."
He concluded: "I think it's a balance between maybe letting me make a mistake and enjoying myself a little bit at times… I'm not an expert in this field." Tony eventually withdrew from the Strictly competition after sustaining an injury from one of his routines with Katya.
