Brittany Cartwright has admitted she reached her "breaking point" during her marriage to Jax Taylor as she opened up about their decision to separate.
The Vanderpump Rules star, 35, said the relationship had become sexless, which negatively affected her self esteem. She also revealed they've discussed the possibility of "seeing other people" following their split.
Brittany announced their split in February. The former couple, who share one child together, parted ways after four years of marriage. "Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health," she said at the time.

She explained: "I don't think that he thought I was actually going to leave, and it’s been three months now. So I think that he thought I would come right back and things would go right back to how they were."

She also said their sex life had "dwindled so much" in recent years that it had started to affect her self esteem. "I felt like I wasn't good enough.
"If you start to feel like your partner doesn't want you and they're also being mean to you, it's like, "What am I doing here?" I'm basically living with a roommate. I hit my breaking point," she explained.

She claimed they had a 'sexless' marriage (Getty Images)Brittany admitted they had been "fighting a lot" before their split and recalled one incident which caused her to move out of their $2million (£1.5million) mansion. The row started after Jax went out partying one night and didn't return home until 4am.
The next day, he claimed their friend Luke Broderick had reached out "saying we were already having issues in our marriage". Brittany said Jax was unhappy with the idea she had confided in someone about their problems and started shouting at her.
However, she claimed Luke hadn't actually messaged Jax and said he "just made up this big story to sort of fight with me". The reality star said it was likely down to her husband's own insecurities.
Brittany and Jax began dating in 2015 after meeting in Las Vegas, with the early days of their romance featuring on Vanderpump Rules. The pair briefly split in 2017 after Jax cheated on Brittany with their co-star Faith Stowers.
Brittany eventually forgave him and they tied the knot in front of 240 guests in 2019. The pair then welcomed their son Cruz Cauchi on April 12, 2021.
