TikTok prakster Mizzy has distanced himself from his previous social media stunts and vowed: "I'm going to change my life around."

Mizzy, whose real name is Bacari-Bronze O'Garro, outraged the internet last year when he carried out a series of pranks on innocent people that he shared on social media, including breaking into people's homes and cars. The dad-of-one from Stoke Newington, east London, was sentenced in November last year to 18 weeks for breaching a court order that banned him from sharing videos of people without their consent.

Mizzy told The Mirror that while trending number 1 on social media in the UK and going on TV shows and podcasts initially made him feel "unstoppable," in reality it left a "huge void" in his life. He added that he was trying out different jobs to see what best fit him.

"I'm trying to build up a rapsheet of work so I'm looking at different avenues to go down, doing a CSCS (construction skills certification scheme) course is one of them.," he told The Mirror. "I'm also doing an internship at VPN News writing my own articles on touching subjects at the moment."

Following his release, Mizzy took to X, formerly Twitter, on April 10, where he vowed to turn his life around. He shared two photos of himself holding a clear plastic bag with possessions outside HMP Thameside and another of himself wearing clothes for work on a construction site while giving a thumbs up gesture to the camera.

"The day I came out of jail I told myself I am never going back and that imma do whatever it takes to change my life around so I can do better for my child and the people around me," he said in the post. "So I went back to college, started looking for loads of jobs and signed up to a CSCS course."

"Now I'm trying to progress further in different aspects of my life and change any negative perceptions on me and, of course, I won't be able to change everyone's mind due to how I've portrayed myself in the past on social media but I hopefully resonate with the people who understan (sic)," he added in a follow-up post.

"Yes, I will be returning to socials and posting videos eventually but only in a way that will prevent me from being in risk of harm and anyone else. So make sure your following up because the return of Mizzy could be sooner than you think (sic) #mizzy." Since being shared on X, the initial post has attracted more than 682,200 views. It also garnered an estimated 7,700 likes and some 240 comments.

Many of those who commented on the post shared messages hoping for Mizzy's success in changing his life around while others were unsure of he was being serious. X user Tariq Khan said: "Nothing but respect for any young man wishing to turn their life around. The honourable path isn't easy and can be slow and grinding, but it is one that you will never regret."

Matthew commented: "Good luck going forward, I hope you stay on the right path." OolongMusk added: "No way to tell if you're being serious about this, but I hope at the very least you look at how many people here want you to succeed and take that into account."

Mizzy sent a direct message to doubters and continued to tell The Mirror: "I want to come back to social media eventually but I want to use it as an outlet to share my story and show people what not to do to gain international virality. Everyone that doubts me, keep doubting until I prove to you my change myself, actions speak louder than words and the actions I am doing right now are going to elevate my career on social media and in real life.

"My family have been over supportive, as they see I'm actively trying to make amends in my life and repent for all the wrong doings I done in the past. My relationship with my babymum and child is better than even because I can financially and emotionally support my child. Even me and my mum's relationship is 10 times better as I actually help out and provide for the household instead of bringing police around 24/7."

The Mirror revealed in January that police across England and Wales probed thousands of alleged offences linked to TikTok. Police recorded 6,241 alleged offences linked to the social media site last year up from 5,000 in 2022 a survey of 44 forces found.

According to TikTok, the social media platform has more than 1 billion monthly users from around the world. The platform has allowed viral trends to flourish online, although it has come under scrutiny due to misinformation, privacy and mental health concerns among others.
