The Grand National Festival is underway for another year, with the first seven races coming on Thursday.

The action began with the Manifesto Novies' Chase, with five horses vying for the win. Mistakes from Colonel Henry and Blow Your Wad on the 12th fence allowed the leaders to pull away, with the duo dropping back. Favourite Grey Dawning also fell back, with the highly-fancied Il Etait Temps was able to overhaul Ginny's Destiny late on to take the first win of the week.

The early leader ended up in second place, with Grey Dawning coming home third, ahead of Colonel Henry and last-placed Blow your Wad. There were five riders in the second race, with Kalif Du Berlais leading early on alongside Kargese.

Kalif Du Berlais fell behind heading into the final hurdle, with Sir Gino surging from third to take the win on the final staright. Keep up with all of the day's winners below...

2. Ginny's Destiny

3. Grey Dawning

Whil Ginny's Destiny took an early lead, Willie Mullins’ Il Etait Temps ultimately cruised to victory in the opening race of the day. The six-year-old has pulled well clear of Ginny’s Destiny in second, with Grey Dawning forced to settle for third.

Winning jockey Paul Townend and his ride had travelled patiently at the rear of the field of five. He was always in touch, however, and was able to pick off each of his rivals to take up the lead ahead of the last fence and went on to prevail comfortably at 3-1.

Mullins said: “That was nice and I loved the manner he did it in. I was really taken with how he walked around the parade ring beforehand, I haven’t seen him as loose for a while, and I just thought if he could run like he walked, he was going to run a big race."

14:20: Boodles Anniversary 4-y-o Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 1)

1. Sir Gino

2. Kargese

3. Kalif Du Berlais

Sir Gino preserved his flawless record with a neat victory in the Boodles Anniversary 4-Y-O Juvenile Hurdle at Aintree. Nicky Henderson’s gelding missed the Cheltenham Festival as the stable was under a cloud and looked to claim his first Grade One in Liverpool instead. Under Nico de Boinville, he did so with little fuss, winning comfortably as the 11-10 favourite after a good jump at the last.

14:55: Aintree Bowl (Grade 1)

1. Gerri Colombe

2. Ahoy Senor

3. Corbetts Cross

Gerri Colombe finished second in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and showed great heart to go one better in the Bowl Chase. It is a big win for Gordon Elliott, who trained Tiger Roll to back-to-back Grand National wins.

15:30: Aintree Hurdle (Grade 1)

1. Impaire Et Passe

2. Bob Olinger

3. Langar Dan

Plenty of drama in this result, with Impaire Et Passe's win only confirmed after a stewards inquiry. Rachael Blackmore, riding Bob Olinger, claimed she was hindered on three separate occasions during the race. Meanwhile, Harry Skelton, on Langar Dan, said he'd have won had he not had to switch his direction due to two incidents.

The stewards did not agree and Paul Townend kept his win on Impaire Et Passe.

16:05: Randox Foxhunters’ Open Hunters’ Chase

1. Its On The Line

2. Bennys King

3. Annamix

16:40: Close Brothers Red Rum Handicap Chase (Premier Handicap)

An impressive performance from Bryony Frost on Sans Bruit, which translates as "without noise" from French. There was little noise here, either, with Frost breezing to victory.

1. Diva Luna
