LIVERPOOL will regard last Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Manchester United as two points dropped in the race for the Premier League title.

This weekend they look to get their Premier League campaign back on track at home to Crystal Palace. Champions Manchester City face Luton Town at the Etihad on Saturday, and league leaders Arsenal have a tricky-looking home fixture against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Villa will be after points as they attempt to regain control of the race for fourth place. The odds are now stacked against Unai Emery’s team, as Spurs now sit level on points with Villa with a better goal difference and a game in hand.

Spurs visit Newcastle on Saturday. The Toon are an unpredictable team. But at home, they score plenty. And it may have gone slightly under the radar, but Spurs haven’t been great on the road in recent weeks.

This weekend we’ve picked out a Saturday treble that returns £53.31 from a £10 bet. Add our two Sunday selections, and the five-fold pays £249.48.

The bet can be placed with any of our top football sites for Premier League betting.

Don't be shy about placing it in a Canadian (also known as Super Yankee) bet either. That way you get a return if one or more of your legs lets you down.

???? Newcastle vs Spurs: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals (1/2)

These odds are a touch short, but both Newcastle and Spurs are very attack-minded and neither team is very good at the back.

Newcastle have only kept one clean sheet in their last five in all competitions. And Spurs have only kept one clean sheet in their last 12 in all competitions.

We were tempted to go with over 3.5 goals for the better odds, but this bet looks nailed on for the early kick-off.

???? Man City vs Luton: Julian Alvarez to score anytime (6/5)

The Champions League clash between Real Madrid and Man City was absorbing. City’s clashes with the Spanish giants in recent years have been spectacular viewing, and this week’s second leg looks set to deliver more entertainment.

So with Pep wanting his strongest side to be available to face Madrid, this fixture looks tailor-made for a Julian Alvarez cameo.

Pep also knows he can’t hold everyone back for Real Madrid. The Premier League title race is alive this season, so we expect to see a strong City side take the field at the Etihad on Saturday.

That spells bad news for the Hatters.

???? Bournemouth vs Man Utd: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals (8/13)

Another match that involves two teams who struggle to keep clean sheets.

Bournemouth have only managed one shutout in their last five. United have only kept two clean sheets in their last ten in all competitions.

The Red Devils have been giving up chances for fun in recent weeks. A lot of this is down to a lack of defenders due to an injury crisis at Old Trafford.

In the reverse fixture this season, the Cherries pulled off a shock 3-0 win at Old Trafford. United will be looking for revenge. But they barely have a fit defender, so they will have no options but to try and simply outscore Bournemouth, no matter what.

Expect plenty of chances at both ends.

Add the following two bets to make it a 5-fold acca.

???? Liverpool vs Crystal Palace: Both teams to score and Liverpool to win (8/5)

In recent weeks at Anfield, Liverpool has conceded goals to Atalanta (3), Sheffield United (1), Brighton (1), Sparta Praha (1) and Man City (1).

You have to go back to the Reds’ 3-0 win over Southampton in the FA Cup 5th Round in February to find the last time Klopp’s team shut out the opposition at their home ground.

Look deeper into Liverpool’s record and you will see that the Southampton match is the only time this year Liverpool has kept a clean sheet at their Anfield home.

The Reds simply can’t afford to not win, and there has to be a great chance Palace will find the net against a team that is currently letting in too many goals.

???? Arsenal vs Aston Villa: Both teams to score (4/5)

Arsenal has been in red-hot form in the Premier League since the turn of the year. Many of us have been waiting for them to crack. But in fairness to Mikel Arteta’s team, they haven’t.

They did make some schoolboy errors against Bayern Munich in the 2-2 Champions League draw last Tuesday. And with the tie in the balance, might the Gunners have one eye on the second leg at the Emirates this Tuesday?

Villa has kept one clean sheet in their last nine Premier League games. They know they are unlikely to prevent the Gunners from scoring in Sunday’s fixture. If they are to leave North London with any points, they are going to need to find the back of the net at least once.

If they can catch Arsenal off guard, they may leave with a scoring draw.
