Amid the difficult period the Royal Family is experiencing currently, Prince George was spotted watching Aston Villa's match against Lille with his father Prince William. It was the first time that the second-in-line to the throne has been seen publicly since Kate revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy.

In an emotional video message direct to the nation, Kate explained that the Wales family had needed space to come to terms with the news and that "most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them." William and George - who wore his Aston Villa scarf - enjoyed some much-needed father-son time at the Europa Conference League game at Villa Park, which saw their favourite team victorious. George is known to be a big football fan, but thanks to insight provided by his parents whilst they undertake their official royal engagements, we know this isn't the only hobby he is passionate about.

George has attended some big football matches with his father, like the Euro 2020 final at Wembley, which saw the England team lose to Italy on penalties. However, football isn't the only sport that George is keen on, with William revealing that his eldest son has got seriously into triathlons at school.

William explained his son's new hobby at Windsor Castle when he was conducting an investiture ceremony, and as he distributed the MBEs, including one to triathlete, Non Stanford. The olympian is reported to have said that William admitted that George has become a big fan of the sport after doing it at school, which involves swimming, cycling, and running - not for the faint-hearted.

Another hobby of the future king is something that William has admitted he has to closely monitor, alongside George's mother Kate, to ensure the young prince doesn't spend too much time looking at a screen: video games.

When Prince William spent time at the Bafta offices - one of his patronages - back in 2022, he tried his hand at a video console and revealed that George is utterly "fascinated" by gaming, so much so that the couple have to be careful about how much time they let him indulge in this hobby.

"At the moment it's trying to regulate the gaming...monitoring screen time. Got to be careful of that," William explained. "They're fascinated by it. George particularly. He's more interested in it. The other two are a bit small at the moment but they love films."

Prince George is also a big music fan, according to his father, and he is partial to some classic rock. William revealed that his eldest son loves the genre in 2023 during the coronation celebrations, and said to a member of the Rock Choir that performed over the weekend that some of George's favourites are AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.
