Christie Brinkley, 70, looked incredible in unseen throwback snaps as her fans claimed she “hasn’t changed one bit”.
The model has lovingly embraced getting older, and confessed on her recent birthday that she was entering her “sensational 70s”, and in a new post on Instagram, she sparked rumours she was in fact ageing backwards as Christie shared some vintage Polaroids from her modelling days. The photos, which were taken in April 1999, show the model trying on outfits for two very different special occasions - lunch with then-President Bill Clinton, and an appearance on The Rosie O'Donnell Show.
In one snap, she was wearing a bright orange jumper and a pair of cropped white polka dot trousers, and in the second, Christie wore a white turtleneck sweater with a knee-length cream snakeskin skirt. “These photos were taken in April 1999.. 25 years ago already! I found a big box of Polaroids from fittings for special events, and I thought it might be fun to share a few!” she began in the caption.

Something I’m still concerned about today as they are even older now! While the power plants are WAY past their prime..I think these fashion[s] held up pretty well! What do you think?” Christie added.

She was flooded with hundreds of comments from fans who noticed her age-defying appearance, with many claiming the photos looked like they were taken recently. “Those pics look like they could have been taken yesterday… you haven’t changed at all & the fashions have pretty much done a full circle…” one commented, as another agreed: “You should recreate them. I bet people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.”

She has barely aged over the last four decades“Looks like it was yesterday,” a third chimed in, as one fan gushed: “I think you're classic, stunning, beautiful, gorgeous, and more importantly an inspiration for all to be kind," commented a fan. Christie has been praised for her refreshing stance on ageing, and when celebrating her recent 70th birthday, she said she was ready for the next decade.
“I still have a few days left of my Sexy 60s before I dance into my Sensational 70s on February 2nd, but I already know it’s going to be a spectacular year!” she wrote in an empowering post on Instagram. “I know because that’s my plan and I’m old enough to know that it’s up to me to make sure of it! I always used to say to my kids ‘Go out and make it a great day’ and now I’m saying to myself that I’m gonna make it a great year!”
