Scottie Scheffler won his second green jacket at Augusta National on Sunday, after the world No. 1 fended off debutant Ludvig Aberg to clinch the Masters crown by four shots.
Scheffler continued his dominance at the top of professional golf, carding a superb four-under-par 68 in the final round to get his hands on the prize. It was an emotional finish for the American, who with his wife Meredith is expecting the imminent birth of their first child.
Elsewhere it proved to be a tough weekend for Tiger Woods, who after making a record-breaking 24th consecutive cut went on to finish the tournament at 16-over-par. In the aftermath though, an upbeat Woods confirmed plans to play in the remaining three majors this year.

For the second time in his career, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is the Masters champion! He makes a par at the 72nd hole of the week to see off a valiant from Ludvig Aberg by four shots, in an Augusta National performance for the ages.

He gets up and down from the green-side bunker at 18 to make par and secure a quite remarkable second-place finish on not only his Masters debut, but his major championship debut! You get the feeling we will be seeing a lot more of this guy's name on championship Sundays...
Here comes Scottie over to 18. He makes a safe par at the 17th, to ensure he heads over to the last with a four-shot lead.
Scottie Scheffler, champion elect finds yet another fairway, this time at 17 with a perfect three-wood down the middle. Meanwhile Aberg misses his putt for birdie at the green, before finding the bunker down the left at 18.

Cool as ever the world No. 1 rolls in a superb putt from eight-feet at the 16th to move four clear of Aberg at the top. That looks to be that...
Superb stuff from Ludvig Aberg. He uses the slope to his advantage on the 16th green, playing a superb bunker shot back down the hill before tapping in for his par. He stays three back.
Work to do for Ludvig Aberg at the 16th... He hits his tee shot from 179 yards into the green-side bunker, short-siding himself to leave tricky chip...
Scottie Scheffler is edgining closer. He taps in for birdie at 14 to move to 10-under-par for the week, three clear of Ludvig Aberg.
Just as he battled his way back into it, Ludvig Aberg is in trouble... The Swede fires his tee shot at 15 down the left and appears to be in trouble... Scheffler hits a dart into the 14th green for a kick-in birdie to get to 10-under...
You can not keep Ludvig Aberg down!
He is keeping himself well in the hunt, as he hits a superb approach into the par-four 14th before tapping into birdie to move to seven-under. He is two back with four to play.
Scottie Scheffler may well have one arm in the green jacket with five holes to play.
He makes the green in two at the par-five 13th before a comfortable two-putt sees him add another birdie to the card to move three ahead at nine-under.
Ludvig Aberg is still battling away despite his double bogey at the 11th.
He hits a superb second shot into the par-five 13th, and after just rolling his eagle attempt by, he taps in for birdie to move two behind Scottie Scheffler at six-under-par.
Gasps from the patrons as 11, as Scheffler's par putt misses left... He makes bogey to move back to eight-under, one clear of Max Homa.
First mistake of the day for Ludvig Aberg...
He over draws his approach into the green at 11, and finds the water hazard down the left-hand-side of the green. He goes on to make a double bogey to move four behind the leader Scottie Scheffler...
Scottie Scheffler is really kicking into gear now... He kicks off his back nine with a well-played birdie at the 10th to move to nine-under, two clear of the field.
Rory McIlroy brings the curtain down on his week at Augusta.
It is a final round one-over-par 73 for the Northern Irishman, to finish at four-over for the week. He will have to wait 12 more months to get his hands on a first green jacket, and complete the career Grand Slam.
The world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is going nowhere!
He plays a remarkable shot from the fairway at the ninth which finishes on the edge of the cup, before making his way onto the green to tap in for birdie. He moves into the outright lead at eight-under.
This guy is outstanding!
Ludvig Aberg take a bow. He finds himself on a tricky spot with a lengthy birdie putt down the ninth green, but this proved a simple test for the Swede who makes the effort to move to seven-under-par.
He is joint at the top alongside Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa.
Scottie Scheffler with the perfect response at the eighth following his bogey at seven, as he bounces back with birdie at the par-five. He is then joined by Collin Morikawa who also rolls in for birdie, as the final pair move to the top in a tie at seven-under.
Its a four-way tie at the top of the leaderboard!
