Henry Cavill is set to become a dad as his partner Natalie Viscuso is pregnant.
The actor, 40, confirmed the news in a new interview where he struggled to contain his joy. During an appearance at the premiere of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare on Monday, he was asked about becoming a dad for the first time.
Henry and Natalie have been together for almost three years and first made their romance public in 2021 when Henry shared a snap of the couple playing a game of chess. Just one year later, they made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Enola Holmes 2. "I'm very excited about it. Natalie and I are very, very excited," he told Access Hollywood about becoming a dad. When he was told that he would be a "great dad" Henry responded: "Thank you," while smiling.
There had been speculation from fans that Natalie had been pregnant after she was seen with a "baby bump" while out and about in New York City. The former MTV Super Sweet Sixteen star was seen wearing a tight black dress that wrapped around her body and complimented her figure.
Having seen the snaps, fans instantly flocked to TikTok to discuss them, with one writing: "Wow She's pregnant! Henry is gonna be a dad! Congratulations." "He looks so happy! I love this for him. He's always wanted a family," said a second. Meanwhile, a third fan went on to write: "You know he’s so excited to have this public look at that face."
Pregnant Stacey Solomon brands herself an 'old fogy' over NYE plans with JoeHenry has made it no secret that he had wanted children. Speaking previously to Men's Health in 2017, he said: "If I ever have kids one day, I want to be the dad who's running round after them. And if I do have kids, even now, it's starting to get quite late. But I want to be a fit and healthy dad, not hobbling round like, 'OK, I'm just going to catch a breather'."
Although Henry and Natalie may be happy and in love, fans haven't always supported their relationship. In May 2021, he was forced to defend Natalie from online trolls. Taking to his Instagram page, he said: "To you out there who are expressing your disdain and showing your displeasure through a surprising variety of ways, it's time to stop.
"I know it can be fun to speculate, to gossip, and to dive into our own personal echo chambers on the internet, but your 'passion' is misplaced, and it causes harm to the people I care about most." He went on to say that he was "very happy in love". While it's not clear how they met, Natalie also works in the entertainment industry.
Her LinkedIn profile states that she is the vice president of Television and Digital Studios at Legendary Entertainment, the production company behind Man of Steel and Enola Holmes.
