Mark Owen has shared the secret behind his six-month transformation ahead of Take That's tour.

The singer, 52, was praised for his youthful looks and was branded "30 years younger" following his recent TV appearance. He has ditched his long hair and moustache for a look more reminiscent of the band's 90s heyday. Mark has managed to turn back to clock with his appearance, leaving Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway viewers full of praise.

However, he has revealed it didn't happen overnight and took six months of hard work. Mark headed to Los Angeles, where he trained at Ultimate Performance gym to get in shape for his upcoming UK tour. He has been filmed showing off his buff physique after working on bench presses, lunges and sit ups.

Mark insisted it hasn't been easy and has found the work "pretty tough". However, the singer shared how he feels "stronger" and can feel his body "vibrating" when working out. " I feel stronger. I can feel my body vibrating - that's the sign that it's working . I thought I was quite fit until I came here," Mark confessed.

His trainer Eddie Baruta, Global Head of Gym Floor Personal Training and Senior PT at Ultimate Performance, has revealed exactly what has gone into Mark's transformation. "More rest is given to Mark in the exercises where the rep ranges are lower, given the high skill requirement for each and to allow time for his central nervous system to recover," he told OK! Magazine. "This allows maximum performance in each set.

"With all the lifts Mark is performing, there is a big focus on controlling the load (weight), both in the lowering of the movement (eccentric) and lifting component (concentric)." Sharing the details of Mark's regime, Eddie said it is aimed at those who already have experience lifting weights. He explained it is "ideal" for those who have limited time to train and have an intermediate training age.

His upper body regime starts with A1 Flat Bar Bell Press 4x6 3111 for 90 seconds which pushes the muscles of the upper body, including pecs and triceps. A2 Neutral Grib chin up 4x6 3111 90s then pulls muscles of the upper body, including the lats and biceps. B1 Push-ups on parallettes 3x8-10 2111 60s helped to ensure Mark achieved the maximum range of movement with each rep.

He also did C1 Lying lateral raise with cable 3x12-15 2111 30s and C2 Incline biceps curl with dumb bells supinated grip 3x8-10 2111 90s in his workout.

Take That is currently a three-piece with Mark joined by Howard Donald and Gary Barlow, and are on a 41-date UK tour, which started in Sheffield. His clean shaven look and new haircut did not go unnoticed during his ITV appearance , as fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their delight at his return to a previous look.

Fans declared that Mark was "looking beautiful" with one posting on the social media platform: "Glad to see Mark Owen has tidied himself up". Another added: "Thank goodness Mark Owen has cut his hair: 'Baby faced Mark is back! looking beautiful". A third posted on X: "Mark Owen is taking me back to my youth after ditching that god awful moustache and growing back his curtains. And I'm here for it." While another had thoughts of a similar vein, posting: "Memories Mark is taking me back to the 90s all over with his curtains, oh my gosh stunner love you Mark."
