Malik Scott, the partner of CBS Sports host Kate Abdo, joined pundit Jamie Carragher at dinner just weeks after not taking kindly to an ill-advised on air joke from the ex-footballer.
When Manchester United fan Abdo said she was "too loyal" to don the shirt of rivals Arsenal during a pre-match segment at the Emirates before Arsenal face Porto, Carragher quipped "not to Malik". Scott, a former boxer, threatened to "show up in a physical manner" if the ex-Liverpool star ever went too far and then failed to answer his call.
Scott has gone public with his thoughts on some of the humour on CBS' Champions League coverage, explaining he wants to make sure his partner is "not disrespected or irritated". However, Carragher was part of the CBS team which joined Scott and Abdo for dinner before Wednesday's broadcast.
"Pre-Game Meal with The Best Panel in sports," Scott wrote while sharing a photo of the group on Instagram. Scott and pundit Thierry Henry are stood either side of Abdo, with Carragher and Micah Richards also in-frame.
Speaking to Lord Ping in March, Scott played down the seriousness of the joke. "It was not something I lost any sleep over because I noticed the way Kate handled it was very, very well, and Jamie was just being Jamie and I have no problem with him," he said.
Jurgen Klopp's approach with Robert Lewandowski bodes well for Darwin NunezEven so, he hinted he was prepared to take action of Carragher overstepped the mark. "As long as Kate is happy, I have no problem," he continued.
"Now if he makes Kate upset then I have a serious problem and he'll get a call from me, and if he doesn't pick up my call I'll show up in a physical manner for him."

Scott, who now works as a boxing trainer, spoke about Abdo's on-air interactions with Henry in April. He stressed that he's a big fan of the broadcast and the interactions between the panel, making it clear he would only be upset if things reach a point where his partner is upset by the panelists.
“Some people might say what do you think about the jokes about Kate and Thierry?" he told Inclave Casino. “All of that stuff is all good man, I've never been a man who has been insecure in a relationship.
"I don't know how to go about jealousy and things of that nature. I enjoy the show, the relationships, the love, and whatever makes the chemistry pop for the show, as long as Kate is not disrespected or irritated.”
“I don't have insecurities or jealousy when someone I'm seeing is working around other men, as long as she's being respectful and she's being respected, I'm totally fine with it. None of this is a problem until she's upset or irritated."
