THE FA CUP quarter-finals take centre stage this weekend, leaving us with just four Premier League fixtures taking place.

None of the top three are in Premier League action, but in the battle for fourth place, Spurs and Aston Villa both have fixtures. Spurs play first. They have a tricky away match at Fulham on Saturday evening. And then Villa are in action against the unpredictable West Ham on Sunday.

At the bottom of the table, there are a couple of huge matches. Luton is at home to Nottingham Forest, where a win for the Hatters would see them go level on points with the Reds.

While Brentford will be eyeing an opportunity to put more daylight between themselves and the bottom five when they visit Turf Moor to take on an already doomed-looking Burnley.

Despite the lack of action, we’ve still picked out a Saturday treble that would see a return of £96.97 from a £10 bet if it wins. Add our Sunday selection, and the four-fold pays £174.54.

???? Burnley vs Brentford: Brentford to win (23/20)

Both Burnley and Brentford are having poor seasons. At the start of the 2023/24 campaign, plenty gave Vincent Kompany’s side a chance of staying up. The truth is, that’s not been on the cards since the first month of the season.

As for Brentford, they’ve been hit with injuries at the back, and they lost Ivan Toney for a large part of the season. And even since the forward has returned, he hasn’t looked as sharp as he could be.

The Clarets ended a four-match losing streak with a 2-2 draw at West Ham last Saturday. But after being 2-0 up at the break, it must have felt more like a defeat.

As for Brentford, they have lost four of their last five. Two of the defeats came away at Man City (1-0) and Arsenal (2-1) and were arguably their better performances of late. Their last win came on the road at Wolves.

At odds of 23/20 away to a struggling Burnley, the Bees have to be backed to pick up the three points.

???? Luton Town vs Nottingham Forest: Luton Over 1.5 Goals (6/5)

How does Luton Town recover from their shattering loss to Bournemouth on Wednesday?

At halftime, dreams of having a chance to stay in the Premier League were real for Luton fans. By full-time, the same fans must have felt more than deflated.

Second chances don’t come around too often. But luckily for Luton, they have one this Saturday.

The Hatters haven’t won in seven. But no one can say they haven’t given it a real go in the Premier League this season.

They are taking on a Forest team that Nuno Espirito Santo has tried to make harder to beat. But despite Nuno’s attempts to shore Forest up at the back, they have only kept one clean sheet this year, and they still shipped four at Villa Park three weeks ago.

Rob Edwards’ team rarely don’t score at home. Expect this weekend to be the same.

???? Fulham vs Spurs: Spurs to win (21/20)

We’re now into the business end of the season, and Spurs know they can’t afford to drop points in matches like this if they want to finish in the top four.

After last Sunday’s Villa Park demolition job, it would be just typical of Spurs to go and lose this. But under Ange Postecoglou, this team does seem to have a bit more character than Tottenham teams of the past (no laughing at the back, please).

Fulham are having a mini-revival of late. They’ve won three of their last five. But despite the Cottagers' improved form, this is similar to the Brentford bet at Burnley.

Spurs to win at odds against is just too good to turn down.

Add the following two bets to make it a 5-fold acca.

???? West Ham vs Aston Villa: Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals (4/5)

West Ham fans, what on earth is going on this season? The team sits seventh in the Premier League, is into the last eight of the Europa League, and yet couldn’t even beat Burnley at the London Stadium last Sunday.

Maybe David Moyes and his players had one eye on the match against Freiburg. Just maybe it’s possible to cut them that bit of slack. But this sort of inconsistency has been going on all season.

Following the trend of West Ham performances lately, It’s hard to know which version will turn up on Sunday. The Hammers could either win 4-1 or lose 4-1. If nothing else, it must make following the Irons very interesting this season.

Aston Villa can’t afford to dwell on last week’s 4-0 hammering from Spurs. A place in the top four is still there for the taking, albeit, it’s no longer in the hands of Unai Emery’s team.

Can last Sunday’s loss be classed as a one-off? Maybe. They did return to winning ways with a 4-0 win over Ajax in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

But Ollie Watkins limped off injured in that match, and is a doubt for the trip to London. Villa will also be without the suspended John McGinn this weekend.

With or without Watkins, Villa should score against a West Ham side that hasn’t kept a Premier League clean sheet since January 2nd.

But given the unpredictable nature of both teams lately, calling a winner is almost impossible.

As a result, we’ve decided to go for both teams to score, and over 2.5 goals. It’s short at 4/5, but it looks almost inevitable.

Back both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at 4/5 with bet365 ⚽
