CRYSTAL PALACE could join the chase for Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika.

Eagles top spy Dougie Freedman watched the Nigeria international in action for the Belgian side last week and is ready to make a move for him.

Defensive midfielder Onyedika could work for Palace if they lose any players this summer and have to refit their squad.

Onyedika, 23, is one of the best young players in Europe and Brugge would sell in the £20million range.

The midfielder joined Nicky Hayen's side in 2022 from Midtjylland and quickly established himself as a key player at the Jan Breydel Stadium.

The Nigerian helped Brugge make it to the Europa Conference League semi-finals where they will take on Fiorentina.

Onyedika has amassed four goals and two assists in 42 appearances across all competitions this season.

That added to his grand total of 82 appearances since his arrival in Bruges.

Palace are braced for offers for their stars this summer and have back-up plans in action if Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise go.

Eze and Olise are tied down to long contracts at Selhurst Park until 2027.

However, the attacking duo has attracted plenty of offers ahead of the summer transfer window.

Eze has been targeted by Premier League giants Tottenham as well as Manchester City.

Olise, on the other hand, is being eyed by Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus.
