Police are looking for a gunman after multiple people were shot in Washington, with two of the victims pronounced dead.
Law enforcement officials said the suspect fled on foot following a shooting on the 700 block of P Street NW in Washington DC in the early hours of Sunday. A total of seven people were shot and the injured were taken to local hospitals for treatment, officers from the DC Police Department said.
Investigators said they were looking for a Black man with "average build, wearing light pants, blue shirt" who was last seen heading south on 7th Street. People were urged not to take action or approach the suspect but immediately call 911.

Pictures from the scene show multiple police vehicles in a cordoned-off area as witnesses gathered following the shooting. Executive Assistant Chief Jeffrey Carroll from the Metropolitan Police Department said during a media briefing near the scene: "At approximately 3am this morning officers from the Metropolitan Police Department 7th District responded to the area of 7th Street and P Street North West following report of a shooting.
"The initial information that we have at this time is a total of seven people were shot at this location, two of which have since been pronounced deceased. The other individuals that were shot at this location, all of which are adults, were transported to local hospitals.
"We're asking anyone who may have any information related to the incident or may have witnessed it to contact the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099. Thank you."
Yesterday, three people were killed and one was injured in a shooting in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The victims were named as suspect Andre Gordon's 52-year-old stepmother, Karen Gordon, his 13-year-old sister, Kera, 25-year-old Taylor Daniel, who was the mother of his two children, and Daniel's mother, who was assaulted when he struck her with he butt of his AR-15-style assault rifle, according to Bucks County District Attorney Jen Schorn, who spoke at a press conference on Saturday afternoon.
Alleged gunman Gordon, 26, entered a home on Viewpoint Lane in Levittown, Pennsylvania, a town just 26 miles northeast of Philadelphia along the New Jersey border, across the river from Trenton, at approximately 8.52am where he shot and killed his 52-year-old step-mum Karen and his 13-year-old sister Kera while three other family members hid.
A few minutes later, at 9.01am, he shot and killed 25-year-old Daniel, the mother of his children, after assaulting her mother on Edgewood Lane approximately 2.5 miles south of the first location. Two minors watched as Gordon killed their mother and assaulted their grandmother.
At 9.13am, Gordon made his way to the Dollar General on Bristol Pike in Morrisville, where he stole a gray Honda CRV and drove it to a home on the 100 block of Miller Street in Trenton, a home the homeless man also reportedly has ties to. There, he took several hostages and barricaded himself in just before 12.30pm as the police entered a standoff with him. He was arrested five hours later at 5.30pm.
