JAMES Argent has been seen for the first time leaving hospital after "agonising" surgery to remove his loose skin after his staggering 14 stone weight loss.

The ex Towie star shed the huge amount of weight following his gastric band operation in 2021.

Arg, 35, was seen limping out of hospital in London after surgeons cut away extra folds of his skin in a major operation.

The op was made possible after he managed to keep the weight off for over a year.

The reality star appeared to be feeling understandably delicate as he slowly made his way from the hospital to a waiting car.

Sporting a medical compression garment underneath his tracksuit top, he dressed in comfortable jeans and slippers as he walked out of the clinic.

He will have to wear the special compression gear for six weeks following the surgery.

It is the final stage in his transformation journey which included surgery, a clean diet and hundreds of hours in the gym after he ballooned to 27 stone.

And no doubt Arg's new girlfriend Stella has played a big part, as sources said he wanted to look his best after finding love

A source told The Sun: "Arg has been working towards this for years.

"Though he is in agony after the op, it will all be worth it in the end and he can't wait to see the results.

"His girlfriend was a huge motivator in his final transformation and falling in love has understandably made him want to look his best."

Despite shedding all the weight and being happier than ever, Arg admitted that doctors had ordered him to put some weight back on.

He told The Sun last year: "The only problem now is I’ve lost a little bit too much weight and I need to put on half a stone.

“Everyone thinks it’s hilarious, we didn’t think we’d ever be in this situation but it’s one thing or another with me - that’s just me!"

Arg, who began piling on the pounds in lockdown after kicking his cocaine and booze addiction, previously exclusively told The Sun how doctors told him he was “on death row."

It took his mum Patricia breaking down in tears in his bedroom for him to finally seek help.

“Bingeing made me tired and lethargic so I’d make plans every day to meet friends, do a job or achieve something,” he told The Sun.

“But after I binged, I was so exhausted I’d end up just staying in bed and not leaving the house.

“Then one afternoon my mum found me in bed and started crying.

“She said, ‘I don’t recognise my son any more.’ That was a big wake-up call."
