Melissa McCarthy has shown her support for Meghan Markle after admitting she doesn't understand the hate she receives.
The Hollywood star spoke out about her confusion as to why the Duchess Of Sussex is constantly criticised by people. The Bridesmaids star also admitted feeling that the way people treat Meghan makes her feel sad for "every woman."
She said: "It bums me out for every woman and every person, that for no reason people just like to attack. A smart interesting woman that has her own life, for some reason, is incredibly threatening to some people."

Talking to Page Six, Melissa, 53, added: "I always think, how inspiring! I’ve never once been threatened by someone who is amazing. I just think how inspiring. It’s really on the people throwing the hate." She continued to describe Meghan as "wonderful" and "awesome."
Meghan Markle 'to unleash her own memoirs' as Prince Harry's drops next weekIn 2021, Melissa starred in a video with Meghan for a video that celebrated the Duchess' 40th birthday and also launched a mentorship program called 40×40. The video mocked Meghan as a Royal at the time, and also featured a cameo by Prince Harry.
At the time Melissa heaped praise on the couple after working with them. She told access Hollywood: "They were so sweet and funny, I just found them very inspiring. They’re carving out their own lives. They’re carving out their lives for their kids."
It comes after Meghan and Harry were slammed for their "insensitive" decision to look at working on new Netflix projects despite the current woes of the Royal Family. It was announced last week that Harry and Meghan are currently working on two new shows for the streaming service. The first will see Meghan "celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship," while the second will be filmed during the US Open Polo Championship, according to insiders.
Then Meghan's new lifestyle brand launched it's first product when 50 influencers received a jar of her American Riviera Orchard strawberry jam to taste test. All the while Princess Kate Middleton and King Charles are both undergoing treatment for cancer.
Royal commentator and Meghan's former friend Lizzie Cundy has now slammed the pair for their pursuits at a time when the Royal Family is in the midst of a crisis. She has accused the Duchess of Sussex of "trying to relaunch herself as a Gwyneth Paltrow type", and claimed she is "not reading the room".
Talking to GBN America, she said: "They've got these new Netflix shows about making jam and cookery and gardening, and there Harry's about polo playing, it's not really relatable. I think it's pretty insensitive when Catherine's going through what she's going through and the King is going through his cancer issues too, it's really insensitive, to be honest."
