CELEBRITY Big Brother star Louis Walsh shares major music industry secrets as he reveals which legendary singer refuses to walk up stairs during Tuesday night’s episode of the ITV reality show.
Louis, 71, sat down in the kitchen for a candid chat with Marisha Wallace, 38, and Zeze Millz, 34, revealing that Mariah Carey refused to walk up any stairs at an award show in Ireland.
The rumour that the American singer “doesn’t do stairs” was kicked off by Alan Carr in 2008 after she appeared on his Channel 4 variety show The Friday Night Project.
Mariah, 54, reportedly needed a “staircase assistant,” who was there “to check the stairs for her to see whether she could walk down them.”
But Louis confirmed the rumour tonight.

The former X-Factor judge began the conversation saying, ”I do love Mariah,” before revealing: “Mariah doesn’t do stairs, she was in Dublin for the MTV Awards and they wanted her to walk up, and the tour manager said Mariah doesn’t do stairs.”
“They carried her up the stairs? She’d get people to carry her up the stairs?” Marisha asked in response.
“Yeah, but I think it’s a great line. She’s great. I love that!” Louis gushed in return.
Marisha then recalled an event she’d attended where Mariah was carried up the stairs instead of walking up them.
“When I was doing that, the top 20 Mariah songs, and one of the BBC people were like…she came to the studio and they, you know, they don’t have elevators in there so I think she had to walk up a flight of stairs and they carried her,” she explained.
Finding the story very amusing, Louis laughed, adding, “good for her!”
“That’s why we see her on those golf carts all the time, too!” Marisha replied.

Celebrity Big Brother found Louis's comments about Mariah's "diva" behaviour pretty hilarious.
"See not even Louis Walsh can slag off Mariah Carey cause she’s just that iconic. If I had a voice like that I would make people carry me round too," one said on X, formerly Twitter.

Another commented: "Of course, you love Mariah! She's a diva, she's minted and she'd tear you apart if you slated her."
But a third viewer was shocked to learn of Mariah's aversion to stars.
"Please tell me the Mariah and stairs thing has surely got to be about the shoes! You can't honestly tell me she's never walked a flight of stairs! Or gets carried up them?!" they said shocked.
During the chat with Marisha and Zeze, Louis also shared a few details about Cheryl Tweedy’s 2003 assault charge, revealing that he was her manager at the time.
