Paddy McGuinness has opened up about what his and ex-wife Christine McGuinness ' relationship looks like post-divorce.
The couple shocked and saddened fans in 2022 after announcing they were getting a divorce after 11 years of marriage, making the following promise in a heartfelt statement: "We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."
Two years on, the former spouses are continuing to live together in their seven-bedroom Cheshire mansion, and they haven't let their divorce settlement affect their quality time with children, 10-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and seven-year-old Felicity. Now Paddy, 50, has offered an insight into their unusual living situation in an exclusive interview with the Mirror's Sanjeeta Bains, revealing: "If Christine met someone else, I'd be supportive."

They are dedicated to co-parenting their three young children (Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images)Although living with your ex-partner might not be the ideal solution for everyone, Paddy and Christine have made it work during what surely must have been a tricky transitional period. Paddy said: "If someone didn't know our situation and came to our house and they spent the day with us, they would not have a clue (we were not together). We get on well, we live together and co-parent. We get the lawyers back and forth but that's separate - that's a different thing."
Looking ahead to finding love again, the Bolton-born comedian revealed he had dipped his toe in the waters of dating, but he feels in no rush to enter into a new relationship just yet. Paddy explained: "I tried a couple of dates last year – After twelve months of adjusting to life on my own I felt I should give it a try rather than really wanting to. For now, I'm happy being single." He added: "For now, we're happy with how things are, living together and helping each other balance work and kids."

For now, Paddy and Christine are happy living the single lifeIt would appear that Christine, 36, would be equally supportive of Paddy moving on with someone else if he were to find that special person. Speaking candidly during an episode of Loose Women, The Real Housewives of Cheshire star shared: "We're both single, and he's entitled to go and date if he wants to, that's completely his business. And it's not my business at all, you know, and the same for me.
"It's just I feel it’s not the right time. But I'm not totally against it. And if he wants to date, he's completely single and he can, I don't feel anything towards it. You know, it's his life, it's his private life, and he can do what he wants. I can't complain about it. No, absolutely not."
Christine, who, like their three children, is autistic, has previously opened up about the challenges that come with dating as a neurodiverse woman. Speaking with the Mirror last year, Christine confessed: "Actual dating I can't think of anything worse. I think for an autistic person it is so much worse because the dating scene from what I've heard, you have to go into a restaurant, you're meeting someone you don't know, you're in a place that you might not have been to before."
