Milly Bobby Brown has been criticised by fans after revealing the way she treats restaurant staff.

The Stranger Things star, 20, who is reportedly worth £11 million, opened up about her experiences as a diner, when she reeled off a list of her pet hates. Speaking from London’s luxury Corinthia hotel, where she was interviewed for the Table Manners podcast by hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware, the British actress slammed staff for ordering drinks and meals separately and for not taking payment at the same time as giving her the bill.

Millie mused: "You know what I hate, waiting a really long time to order. I've already looked at the menu in the car on the way here and when they’re like, 'We’ll just get your drinks orders and then come back', I’m like 'No, no, no, stand here, let’s just take the whole thing. It will make your life easier.'"

She continued: "And then waiting for the bill, you know when they put it down on the table but then come back half an hour later? I’m like, 'Let me give you my card just right now, I must go walk this food off'."

Her comments did not go down well, with many fans furiously branding the millionaire as "rude" and "entitled" for treating waiting staff with "such disrespect". Commenting on the podcast, one listener said: "Everyone you complain about is underpaid, and you’re not, nor have you ever struggled." Another quipped: "Tell me you’ve never worked in hospitality, without actually telling me you never worked in hospitality." While a third pointed out: "Waiters stall with drinks so the kitchen doesn’t get swamped and they don’t get yelled at by chefs."

Millie also admitted she leaves reviews of restaurants and hotels, saying she thinks it’s "really important". She explained: "Here’s the thing, my whole life is people criticising me, so I’m going to give it back to you. We were at a hotel and the woman was pulling my fiancé aside saying that we needed to settle the bill and I was like, 'We will at the end of our stay'. She said 'You could settle it now' and I was like, 'Hmmm, I don’t want to'. So I left a review that said 'I really think you should encourage guests to complete transactions at the end of their stay', I think it’s important."

The actress, who is engaged to Jon Bon Jovi's son, Jake Bongiovi, admitted she was a "Karen" at the end of the podcast, saying: "I think it’s important to know where you went wrong and there’s always room for improvement." The popular term in the US is slang, typically for a middle-class white American woman who is perceived as entitled or excessively demanding beyond the scope of what is considered to be normal behaviour.
