Who is Christian Atsu's wife?

In 2012, Christian Atsu married Marie-Claire Rupio.

The pair previously met in Portugal while he was playing for Porto.

While Marie-Claire might've had a high-profile husband, she has often kept details of her personal life out of the spotlight and off social media.

After tying the knot, Christian and his wife welcomed three kids: two sons and a daughter.

When speaking of his family to Tv3 Sports, Chrisitan said: "I met my wife in Portugal and you can see we have a beautiful family.

"We've been together for nine to ten years and I just love her."

Christian was known for his football career and was previously seen playing for Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle, and Bournemouth in the Premier League

"Atsu's lifeless body was found under the rubble. At the moment, his belongings are still being removed," his manager, Murat Uzunmehmet, told private news agency DHA, via CBS News.

The Premier League later released a statement, saying: "We are deeply saddened by the news Christian Atsu lost his life in the devastation of the earthquakes that have hit Turkey and Syria.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with Christian's family and friends and everyone affected by this tragic event."

Christian was survived by his wife, kids, and twin sister Christiana.
